This book is amazing. I love Adam's writing and it just keeps getting better. I had serious emotions the entire book. How do you live when you know you're going to die at any second? How do you not live when you know you're going to die at any second?
It has been a long time since I've cried during a read, I actually look forward to those books.Goodbyes are hard especially with people you care about and boy do I care about these characters. I love Mateo and Rufus. I love that they found each other for this day. I wish they found each other sooner. The Plutos and Lidia are serious friendship goals. I wish I would have grown up with friends as good as this group. These are the friends that change your life for the better. The friends you'll have even when your grown and on opposites sides of the country.
I loathe you Death Cast creator. You are both a monster and savior. But also, who would want to find out THE DAY they die that they're going to die? If they had to tell you shouldn't they give you a little more notice. I have so many conflicting opinions on Death Cast.
It took me months to finish this not because it wasn't good but because I didn't want it to end. TBDATE may be my favorite book by Adam Silveria yet! All of his books have either made me cry or I came pretty darn close. Remeber, if you're going to read this bring kleenex.

These stories are all so cute! I would love to have full versions of all most all of them. There wasn't one story that I didn't like. Reading this filled me with the warm and fuzzies. For all of these authors, this is the first I've read anything by them and I feel like I've been missing out. THEY ARE AMAZING.

Siege Etiquette by Katie Cotugno– 3 stars. Wasn't a big fan of how it was written but I the story was really cute.
Print Shop by Nina LaCour – 3 stars. I think I'd like to read more about the Print Shop happenings and Evie.
Hourglass by Ibi Zobai– 4 stars. Totally relate to the whole friends suck part and I love Cherish. I want to know what's in store for her.

To be honest, I haven't read Sherlock yet but I have seen the BBC show. I know the basics of Sherlock and that's about it. I liked this but it also felt like there should have been more. It was very short and just had the feeling that something was missing from it. The art was good and it was easy to follow. The main plot of the story was there but that is all. There was nothing built up into the relationships of any of the characters so I didn't really connect with anyone.

I loved the art. It's bright, vibrant, and different. I really like the concept, it's unique and the three main characters kick serious butt. However, the story itself was lacking. It felt really rushed and for me, it just didn't flow nicely.
WOW! This is just beautiful. Everything about it. I found this book through Weezie at Weezies Whimsical Writings . I love her and you should totally check out her blog. I've added many books to my tbr because of her.
I really really liked this. The art is amazing. There are poems, essays, and short stories which are all important. This is an #ownvoices anthology, Native women telling THEIR stories. There were a few times I felt like I was going to cry. The Things We Taught Our Daughters is my favorite. I just really
think people need to hear/read these stories. I basically just want to yell READ THIS to everyone.
I just really appreciate these women telling their stories and if I had never read this I probably would never know that these are major issues the Native American women are facing. I realize this is a lot of me rambling and probably doesn't make sense but really you should go read it.
I want the world to be a better place and for white people to stop being so crappy towards everyone else.
Let me know if you've read this or are going to and your thoughts! Also if you have other Native American #ownvoices stories to recommend I would love to read more.

Where do I start with Dracula? I didn't hate it so there's that. It was weird. I mean I expect classics to be weird for the most part since times are so different now but it's like bonus weird. I will still always love all retellings and movies about the Drac. I listened to the audiobook and followed along in my library book. Classics end up on audio most of the time for me.

So much could have been avoided if Harker would have listened to those people when they said not to go. If so many people are telling you it's a bad idea, it's probably a bad idea. But then there's the double edge sword, would Dracula have been stopped if Harker didn't go?
“Remember my friend, that knowledge is stronger than memory, and we should not trust the weaker”
The biggest problem I had was all of the voices. I can appreciate different POVs, it can be a really good way to get the whole story. However, having 8 main different voices plus a handful of others is too many for me. It's also written entirely in diary/journal entries, newspaper articles, and letters. This gives the complete story since we get perspective from everyone but it also is too much. I mean why does he write down so much detail in his diary? Is what he had for dinner and going to the bathroom that important? I think those are things the story doesn't actually need. Did people back in the day actually keep such detailed diaries? I feel like these people just walk around all day writing down every single thing they do. The audiobook really helped me get through all the POV changes.

There were a few things I really didn't expect. Apparently, Dracula is related to Attila the Hun. I thought that was cool. Everything I thought of in regards to vampires and werewolves is in question here... vampires are usually bats and werewolves are wolves obviously, they don't normally like each other and there are usually exclusive. Very rarely is there a vampire-werewolf hybrid( Underworld is the only thing I can think of where that is and Vampire Diaries) but Dracula is both? He can control the wolves and turn into a bat or wolf. I've always pictured Dracula as strictly vamp.
Overall, I liked Dracula. He is the father of most vampire fiction and in this way, he was successful in spreading the undead curse.
I knew it was different than the TV show but HOLY COW. It's so different. They are basically just something that has a few same character names and there happens to be zombies. That's about all the similarities. They are more like cousins instead of siblings. (Hopefully that make's sense to you, it did to my brain.)
I liked this so much more than I actually thought I would. Everyone is more intense in the comics. The Governor is so much more psycho than he is in the show. He's a literal monster. DO NOT go into this thinking ANY of the characters are going to be remotely like the one's you love or hate. NOT happening.
There was some stuff I didn't like but it's all major character information and I'll let you guys find out for yourselves. But there is also something things that happened in the comics that I thought were insane and I kind of wish they would have happened in the show.

I'm really starting to like memoirs. They offer you life lessons and views of the world that you might have never realized before. You learn a little bit about yourself as you read the life story of someone else. I connected a lot in certain parts, especially motherhood. And getting older seemed a little less scary. Life seems to get better after 30.

I was excited and skeptical when I started this. I love Charmed, it was a huge part of my life growing up. I've seen episodes more times than I can remember so I was worried this was gonna let me down but it didn't. The story flows perfectly as it would in an episode and there's mentions and cameos of some of the boys in their lives. Timeline wise this would fit before everything that happened with Chris and Wyatt in the show in case you are wondering. I wasn't sure what time it would take place in their lives when I started.
My only real problem is with the art. I liked the art for the most part. However, I didn't like the issue covers. The covers use actual images from the show instead of the art used through the book. There are some options at the end that I feel would have been a better choice since they are more consistent with the rest of the book. If you're expecting the characters to look exactly like the original characters in the show, there are some small discrepancies. Piper looks the most like real life Piper.
Overall, I enjoyed this and I would definitely read more of the Charmed one's stories.
Fun Fact: I picked this up because of all the buzz the new movie is creating. I have yet to watch the trailer even for it since I haven't read the book. I had no idea what it was about to be honest.
This story follows two young children on the adventure of their lives trying to find their lost father with the help of three very odd strangers.
“It was a dark and stormy night.”
First sentence had me hooked. That is one of my favorite lines. I love the children. They're not your normal everyday heroes. They are insanely smart and a bit peculiar and they love each other so much. Even when Calvin comes into the picture he is instantly family and fits in so well. They just make me happy. Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who and Mrs. Which are the three strangers who are helping. They blow into the Murray children's lives and somehow everyone just kind of accepts it and goes with it. I really enjoyed this book. It's such a cute and unique story about love. The only thing that I didn't like was the ending. It was a little abrupt but aside from that I liked it.
I really enjoyed this. I am looking forward to getting a finished copy so I can see the artwork inside. I love Sorina and Luca, honestly I love all of the “freaks” and Kahina. The characters are all unique and special. I think I have a thing for fantasy traveling circus type books because they seem to have really great detail and the worlds are always cool. There's romance, mystery, betrayal, magic, and some adventure. It's got a little bit of everything.
