the weakest in the series so far.
The list of TW is long: self-deprecating thoughts and behaviour, grief, trauma, violent crimes, unspoken violence, coercion, depression, humiliation and so on...
I had such high hopes. none was achieved. that broke my heart. it's still a fast read, but everything was so damn odd that I almost DNFed it.
The instant love was superficial (in Portuguese: fogo de rabo) And, in my case, the minute I realised that Bram is traumatized, depressed and had an obvious suicidal profile, all the S&M and “domi” thing started to be too cringe to handle.
The “plot twist” at the end was predictable (the moment Bram explains the bargain that his father has made to get a human, everything went together) and it still sounds a bit unnecessary to me.
don't even get me started on Bram's numbness about Grace's family business. Either he was too naive to get. that or I've watched too much Supernatural to get things in a blink).
I hope the series gets better soon
one of the best audiobooks I've listened to so far. In my life.
I'll rewatch the movie with a whole different perspective.
What a great and heartwarming idea to invite the cast to comment and read about their experience during the shooting and their relationship at the time, but more so, about the effect, the movie had on many generations, for years, even though its release and box-office results weren't as good as it should.
Pure love. Period.

At 70-ish % of the book, Kerry starts a instagram page for the Strong Boys Knit Shop with the #realmenknit. It would be kinda one of those firefighters' calendars.
Ma' man...
It was good. A hell of a good idea indeed.
I was profoundly enjoying myself while reading these chapters.
Even though it was a light and funny read, the ending did not land well, and a little plot development, and character connections “polishment” would be providential.
3.5 stars.
Sometimes I think that I love this manga even more than I loved the book itself.
The only thing that I didn't enjoyed much was (unexpectedly) the Simon and Baz's interludes - while reading the book, it made total sense. In the manga version, It was kind of lost.
Maybe I will reread Fangirl this year ✨
Not my cup of tea.
And that is the book everybody is talking about.
I'm not trying to be not as judgmental as I usually am, although something in that book - maybe the narrative, the way it's structured, the stories selected, the rawness in it - just did not ring on me. Something is off.
I do know that when you are in an abusive relationship (even with your mother) or have health issues - like an eating disorder - or a dysfunctional family or so on and so forth, realize that you need help and you need to get out of this situation, it's hard. She is not the most positive person nor charismatic, which made it a bit hard to care for her. Perhaps that is why I didn't connect.
I'm not from the iCarly generation, I genuinely don't even like it at all (it was too dumb).
The only thing I enjoyed was that scene:
And that Miranda was the cool bossy girl from School of Rock.
The cover is stunning and I've found myself kind of relieved to know that both Jen and Miranda are friends due this day.
And that is all.

Pensando se escrevo uma continuação mais ácida dessa review ou me mantenho quieta.
2,5 stars (compared to the first one)
I've read this book in one sit (and it's short as well).
I have a confession to make: this is maybe my nº00 recent guilty pleasure: monsters romance. This is really something just to make myself as far away from reality as possible.
But, despite my super into love-monsters-relationships-phase, this book was lacking. The themes approached by the author still slide to the heavy side of all human issues (such as parent neglect, death of a loved one, self-harm, abortion, personal traumas, and the list continues), it wasn't as well treated as it was in the first book. That sense of “things will work quite well” that lasted after I finished Sol and Brier's book, didn't linger in this one. It felt like they were both running away from their problems, but instead of being alone and lonely, they would be together. They aren't wrong, in a way, but something was missing.
Also, the first sex scene was a bit out of nowhere, as if she needed to insert that kind of explicit moment asap, otherwise, she would lose her audience (and I'm sure it was already engaging enough to stand a feel more pages until the “main scene” on the island).
As a hentai tentacle thingy, it serves well.
Those covers are STUNNING, you have to agree with me (the one with Ramanu hits quite in the right way. They are another character that changed from oil to water from one book to another that I'm not quite sure yet if I'm used to this new version).
