Wish fulfillment, of course, but lots of fun. And found some new YA authors I want to read more of.

Even thought this had two things that I hate in books (no humor, taking an ordinary story and making a “mystery” of it by telling it backwards) I really enjoyed it. There was so much joy in the main character, despite everything.

I really loved this book. It was so wacky and strange, but (mostly) so much fun to read. I would have read a full book of any of the individual stories, but it was fun to see them all intersecting paths. I didn't understand the ending, though. I would probably have to read it a few more times.

Not my favorite of her books, but, of course, I still loved it.

This was really funny and honest. I loved it. Now I want to look at the author photo. :)

Not the happiest, cheeriest book every, but an incredible look at what life was really like in India at that time. Hard to comprehend such poverty.

I loved this book. The topic would have been interesting to me anyway, but it was so well written. I liked that adults were in the story, and the secondary characters were interesting. I hope there's going to be a sequel.

Not my favorite of his books. Read almost like a first draft for Chronic City, which I liked much, much more.

Hilarious. I loved it.

Couldn't get past the first few chapters. I hate books where the main character makes so many stupid moves.

I so love this series. Now I want to go back and reread the others.

I was surprised how much I liked this. The main character was great. Looking forward to reading more of her books.

A strange, strange book.

This is a 4.5. I really, really like her writing. Interesting stories, but not just plot.

A straightforward, fun book.

Similar to The Circle, but I liked this one much better.

This should really have been called stories of outcasts falling in love, but I enjoyed it. It was a great way to find some new-to-me YA authors I might like.

Straightforward, honest, thoughtful writing. I loved it.

I really, really loved this series. So many matter-of-fact strong women.

So heavy-handed and portentous. And a really clever (ha) surprise ending. Who was the main “character?” She had no discernible personality. Why does it seem like I always regret reading books by male authors?

This was a lot of fun. Why can't adult books be this funny? Of course, I cried, too...

Really liked this, though it bogged down a bit in the middle, and the Leo character was too much of a fairytale.

The author helpfully lays it all out for you in the beginning, so you can't even be mad that it's cheesy. But I did laugh out loud at many points, and I'll put up with almost anything for that.
