I really like the characters that were introduced in this installment, Lucy is so refreshing and Sharkey is just adorable! The love triangle was even worse this time around, but aside from that I enjoyed the story. I can't wait to see how Shepherd adapts Frankenstein to fit into this world she has created.
I really don't know how to feel about this... I liked that it was somewhat different that the previous Robert Langdon books, but it's still not what I wanted. It was definitely a quick and entertaining as to be expected with a Dan Brown book, I just wish there was something more to it...
I apologize that nothing in the above text even makes sense. D:
I don't know what I was expecting from this book since I didn't enjoy [b:The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight 10798416 The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight Jennifer E. Smith http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1337187623s/10798416.jpg 15464655] as much as I hoped. This book kind of left me feeling the same way. It was a quick read, but it was lacking in some way. I also wish there were more emails on the book. I didn't connect to the characters, but the ending was cute and it bumped my rating up to 3 stars.
I couldn't connect with the characters and I really didn't like the writing style, I'm just not a fan of stream of consciousness writing. I did get used to it after a while though and that made the book easier to read. That being said, I don't know how I feel about the book. It's about a serious issue and is very chilling at times. However, I don't ever connect with these kinds of psychological books nor do I really enjoy them. I think it's time to stop reading them.
I was definitely expecting to like this a lot more. The book moved so slowly, I almost gave up on it twice. Most of the book is building up to the race and when it finally got there, it wasn't anything that I expected.
The writing was quite nice and I really liked the relationship between Sean and Corr as well as Sean and Puck. I was going to give this 2 stars but the ending of the book bumped it up to 3 stars. I was just bored throughout the whole book until I got to the ending. I also still don't understand the whole capall uisce concept, I feel like it definitely could have been explained more thoroughly.
I really enjoyed the premise of this story. The language aspect is what drew me to the book and it was quite interesting. The world was a bit difficult to get into, I had a hard time understanding the government and the setup of the society. Not much is fully explained, so I was blindly guessing for a good portion of the book. The characters are also lacking, I guess? They're not very developed, so I didn't connect to then very well. And the romance between Charlie and Max was definite instalove.
I don't know how to feel about the ending. It's just left open, but I feel like that was only done to allow the next installment. It makes the storyline feel unnatural. That being said, it was a good read and I'm looking forward to reading the next one.
