It was ok! My second book by this author, but still an enjoyable read.
Kind of a slow burn, until about half way through when all the drama and angst starts to begin.
Definitely wasn't expecting all of that family drama with everyone.
I love that Nico pines for her for so long, it's very sweet. And honestly I don't think Demi deserves him.
But they're happy so I'm happy blah blah blah
OK!! Loved Gabi's story.
Fake dating, with an arrangement to help Gabi “finish” for the first time.
She has ADHD, and Vic is a doctor who helps her brain have peace.
Their love and banter is so funny, I found myself smiling so much. I love their peace and chaos together.
Gabi's family is crazy over protective but means well. Vic is in her corner and defends her in ways others may not. He understands her. He helps her feel normal which is all she really wanted.
I hate to say it, but I'm disappointed.
I really expected more? I don't know.
I wanted more of Cal and Iris' relationship as well.
This is a second chance romance, as Cal struggled with addiction. I honestly don't think we knew this from the previous books. I know he had ADHD and was the “irresponsible” sibling.
Alana and Cami are sweethearts, and I know Cal loves them and only wants the best.
Team Declan forever tho
Felt a bit all over the place. But Christopher is so funny.
I laughed and smiled at his and Hayden's relationship.
Despite the lies, they definitely were meant for each other.
I love his relationship with the brothers- he has such a quick temper and freaks out but they have a way of calming him while laughing about it.
Our boy Elliot has a temper!!!
I totallyyyyy feel for Kate here. Like. Was she defensive and jumped a bit too quick? Sure. But she was totally valid in her reactions.
Elliot is a man that gets what he wants and boy does he ever.
I loved how he believes in fate, and true destiny.
Although the two we're workplace enemies, they found themselves brought together for spicy sex, then became so much more.
Ahhh I love Tristan. Ever since hearing about him I'm the stop over I was exited for his story.
He is so funny and sweet, while also commanding and sexy.
Totally surprised he was a motivational speaker on top of his position at Miles Media.
He loves Claire and her boys so much, and finds ways to connect with them without being pushy. He's also there for them and just shows up. Is someone to rely on, and Claire needs that.
Their connection is amazing and their chemistry is off the hook!!! Loved this book more than the first one.
I feel I had too high expectations.
It was good, had a lot of drama and humour but I don't know. It was just ok!! I liked the beginning but I felt Emily got really pathetic about halfway through.
I didn't want to root for her and it seemed overly dramatic and sad but not in a good way
Was Jameson wrong? Sure. He wasn't perfect by any means. But I was constantly rolling my eyes at Emily's actions. Get a grip girl
What an addicting second chance romance!!!
Immediately hooked, and it just kept getting better.
The character development was amazing, I truly felt I understood them and their struggles.
This is such a good book, talking about addiction, overcoming hard childhoods, grief, and more.
Phoenix and Lennon are the sun and the moon. They brighten each others skies. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's how you handle the after that shows who you are.
This was so sweet! Alexis is a legacy doctor, and Daniel is the mayor of a small town. They couldn't be more different.
Fate brought them together. True love kept them together.
This was such a sweet rom-com book. It was full of happiness, and emotion. The small town was so full of life and family, and amazing farm animals.
This book was so sweet. I liked how we were in the world of other MZ books, so they are kind of connected. Took me a couple references to figure it out but we got there.
The boys are so god damn cute I can't handle it.
Happy I have Diana's story; and so happy she got a happy ending.
Dallas is hot AF baseball coach, and so so loyal.
Friends at first, and slowly but surely they tangled into something more. He loves he quietly but loudly all the same. It's the little ways he shows that he is there for her and that she can trust him.
Diana is so fiercely protective over the boys and will stop at nothing to make sure they have a good life.
Definitely a comfort read of mine.
Zaddy Axel is hot AF. Like. I'm sweating just thinking about it. I love DILFS
Age gap, tattooed, mechanic. WOW. Plus a height difference that is both cute and steamy.
The dirty talk from him, oh my. Where's the fan?
Maddie doubts herself too much, and holds back, but when she finally let's go and accepts that he loves her. The world makes sense.
Met under strange circumstances, but everything worked out for the best.
The drama! The spice! The excitement!!!
Ok first, Beckett is hot AF. Nature Zaddy and handyman???? Wowowow.
Elouise had a crush on Beckett since they were kids, and kept running into each other over the years. Never really getting to know each other but just a quick bump here and there.
Then all of a sudden they meet at a school camping trip for the weekend..... HOT HOT HOT NATURE BECKETT. And sharing a tent.... Oh my. I'm sweating thinking about it.
The dirty talk and the command he has...
Anyway, the normal angst and will they won't they isn't enough for ya? Try adding a crazy guy claiming he's in love with Lou!!
So good.
I enjoyed getting the know Marie! This was a softer story compared to Jonah and Calla's (less dramatic crashes and tragedy) but still good nonetheless.
Tyler..... oh my. Like, I totally feel for him and I just wanted to shake him to realize how much he loves Marie.
A whole will they won't they, push and pull.
This book was so beautiful.
Calla goes to Alaska to visit her father, who she hasn't seen in 24 years. Adventures ensue....
Jonah and Calla's bickering was so so funny. I love them together.
I don't want to say much without giving anything away.
The writing was beautiful. The characters had such depth.
Completely cried like a baby the last portion of this. But wow. Yes.
A classic Zapata slow burn. Please read this.
Like, can I marry this woman? I love her. Anyway.
I always have such positive feelings after reading slow burns by her.
A romance between soccer player and retired soccer star. SLOOOOOOW burn. So slow and then the Big Bang happens and it is so HOT and spicy. HEA.
Rey Kulti is a classic sports grump, who comes to coach Sal's professional women's soccer league.
Rey was her idol growing up, so it's a shock to see he has come to coach her.
The two become friends, without many words, and then slowly grow into more.
Rey shows his love with acts of service. Protecting Sal, showing up when it's important, and giving back. He doesn't say much, but he shows her his love in different ways.
This was good! A snowboarder romance.
Enemies to lovers. And all that fun stuff.
Grumpy grumpy Chase doesn't know how to handle his feelings, he has a tough past so we let it slide. Super talented and hot AF.
Just as talented photographer, with emotional Kevlar, has her walls up but slowly takes them down and trusts Chase.
