I honestly enjoyed reading this and even though some of it felt like fluff and didn't add anything to the overall plot, it was engaging. As a guy who typically reads non-fiction, it is a good change-up to my TBR. Even though book 3 is on my shelf ready to be read, I think I will put this series down for a bit and return to my regular non-fiction books and come back to this series later.

I wish I could give this very long, but really good book 10 stars. If you can only every read one book on improving your overall health, let it be this one. Over 18 hours of studies and advice on how to live a longer, healthier, and happier life.

I have always known that the mind and body work together but now I know about countless studies that prove the relationship and benefits of the mind in health. This is a definitely a reread for me as there was just too much information in the first read to really be able to take it away and apply it to my life.

Great book and will be on my re-read list for sure. It was really short but very direct in its teachings. Sometimes simple is better. I learned more in this 2+ hour book then I learned from the many other books that were much larger and complicated. Highly recommended.

Great book and like always the book and movie are very different. The book is way more complicated with a lot more characters and plots to keep track of. In a way, I almost prefer the movie as it brings the same story outline and lessons but in a more simplified plot. For example, there are major characters completely missing from the movie.

I was listening to the audible version of the book and the narration was fantastic in its dramatized version. I did feel a little sorry for the narrator trying to keep up with so many characters and too for the reader, but in the end, it makes for a great read and a 5-star recommendation from me.

My first romance novel (could be my second) and I am very disappointed in the lack of character development and how predictable and unrealistic it is. The steamy sections do little to advance the terrible plot and are overall too much. I get it, it's a sex book and not a novel, but why can't it be both?

I will not give up on this genre as it is a welcome change from my history of non-fiction books and I assume this book is just not right for me (a typical guy). Looking forward to trying other interesting genres in my TBR.

I agree with the book, it's always better to train your dog with respect and love. I was taught by earlier trainers to use dominance and negative reinforcement to control your dog and I totally regret my actions. This is the way everyone should teach a dog how to behave.

I read the audiobook but I also got the eBook so I can refer back to it anytime (and I may get the physical one too). As I begin to train my new rescue, I can see the bond being created and the love being built, and I know this is how it should be.

My only recommendation is for anyone wanting to train their dog, use the ebook or physical book so you can take good notes on technic. Overall, a 5-star book for me.

Fun book, very short read, and a good intro (for me) into this series. I am reading this series out of order because this is how it is put together in my eBook, but I think it would be better to read book 1 and 2 before diving into these prequel books.

I am not expecting much in regard to character or world building as it's just a 70-page book and I am reading out of order, but I didn't feel like I needed anything from book 1 or 2 to follow the story.

Too short of a book to give it 5 stars. The writing seemed to be all over the place, and I got very confused in a few areas not really knowing what was happening. I felt the conflicting information could have been cleared up with more pages.

None the less I enjoyed the story and how the MC is developing. I love the irony around personal values and how a story can be developed around a simple plot (most other authors tend to finish on cliff hangers which I personally hate).

Good book, I enjoyed the character development and plot that will show itself in the next story and probably beyond. Not sure why but these shorter stories never really seemed finished when you get to the last page but since all 5 are bundled together it makes it easy to move from one story to another. Overall, I would recommend reading these novellas.

I enjoyed this book like the others but not long enough to make it better then 4 stars. I can't wait to start the full series and see where the author wants to take me.

Almost DNF but decided to research some of her claims are they appear in part to be based on science, but her approach is beyond reasonable.

Honestly, I am surprised I finished the book. I almost DNF this but last minute I decided to push through it and I am sorry I did. and her information seems to be correct, but I do not like how she is relaying the information so far.

Her approach is too radical for me (and probably most people) and very hokey pokey.

OK, the best of the novellas in my opinion and one that I could not put down. I feel I am all set to begin book 1 and see where the author wants to take me in this journey and world.

Let's be honest, there are 8 books in this series and its a huge commitment to prioritize this collection over the many other books in my TBR. I want to continue but I know the cost, and I probably am willing to pay it.

Fun book, not very surprising but I enjoyed the story, but the character building was a little light in this compared to some of Maas's other stories. None the less, I enjoyed it and a 3-4 stars from me.

Enjoyable book with lots of great information. I am excited about the direction and new research into integrative medicine but wish insurance companies didn't push it so hard mainly due to it being so much less expensive.

I felt this book was a good balance between research knowledge and practical steps someone can take to begin to bring a healthier lifestyle into their lives.

One word can best describe this book (and the other books in this series), FLUFF. I can probably skip over 90% of the words in the story and get a very good understanding of the story line and character development. I guess this is required when an author and its publisher want you to stretch a single novel into an 8+ book series.

But Given I already bought the whole series, come hell or high water I will read every book, but if I was buying this author again, I would maybe buy a single book and see if it is a quality story or just fluff.

I have noticed I had similar feelings about the Fourth Wing series and just wonder if its more common and “business like” these days to fluff up a story line to fill pages. I am more of a classics reader, and the characters and plot are in a totally different class then these ‘dessert' books.

In regard to character development and advancing the story, a reader can easily skip this book and jump from 2 to 4 and not miss anything in the plot. It is also possible to skip book 2 and jump to 4 (but I have a feeling book 4 is just as stale).

So why did I give the book 3 stars, because I love the characters and the world. I love spending time in this place even though it's a little more exciting being here then spending time in real life.

I have read a lot of books about Integrative medicine but this one (more of a lifestyle approach) was so much better. The book was clear, direct, and made complete sense in how your lifestyle choices determine your overall health and wellness.

Without recapping the book, I will just say again how this common sense but backed by science approach makes 100% sense and if you are over worked or find yourself without the energy to make it through your day, give this book a try.
