Lost, A Pearle

This one's a great example of a classic melodramatic novel. The fair heroine is misunderstood by many around her, and her path to true love is remarkably rocky. At the same time, though, her will isn't crushed, and it's also the story of a woman with the world against her who ends up surviving and thriving even without a man to lean on.
