Second re-read review:
Yeah no I upped my rating. We went from four stars to five stars. This book just does something to me. I fcking love tairn and where everyone has Xaden of Violet as fave characters, he's mine. Violet really is your typical main girl who is weak and fragile and she does a 180 to be soooo good, but I do like her snarky and sarcastic comments. Honestly, I'm just really excited for the second book
Original first read review:
I liked it, enjoyed it, but for me it doesn't live up to the 5 star hype. The book was a little too cringy for that.
Did love tairn, I want a tairn
Liked it
This was the first time listing to this book on audio. I've only read this book once before, but I remember that I thought it was very confusing. But, the audio made it so much better. It was quite clear from the beginning, and some things are really obvious reading it the second time around.
Actual rating; 4,5 stars
This book was actually so good, and I didn't expect it. This magic system is so good and totally different from others.
I can see why people call it their villain origin story.
Also, am I weird for hoping that the nightmare en Elspeth would end up together somehow? Like not him as his original self, but as in death and her? I would have loved to see that

I absolutely adored this book. Picked it up yesterday around midnight and finished it a day later at midnight. I absolutely loved the aspect of two famous people and what happened behind the scenes with them and their relationship. Both main characters where so much fun. I liked their banter, even though it really wasn't necessary if main characters talked for once.
Really, really enjoyed it.
AUGUST 2023;
Loved this book, still as good. You can see Sarah's earlier writing, but it gets better trough the book. 4,5 stars
OCTOBER 2021 REVIEW:
I really loved this book, again. It has been some time but I was ready for a re-read. Celaena was really whiney in the beginning and I hated that. Sarah's writing felt very young and she wrote with a lot of exclamation marks. I understand that she wrote it a long time ago, but it felt really young and low quality in some way. It was a lot less of She? How dare he! About a quarter into the book, so that was good.
Also, fleetfoot. Just fleetfoot. We all love fleetfoot. Fight me if you don't.
JANUARY 2018 REVIEW:
I need to admit that I forgot a big part of the book. But the things that's I had forgotten made the book so much better. God I love Sarah J Maas. All hail the Queen bows to Sarah
I received this E-arc from Netgalley in return for my honest opinion.
I keep thinking about this series. I really enjoyed the series in general. This was not my favorite from the series, but I really enjoyed seeing all the characters from the previous books.
Death is one of my favorite ‘myths' to call it that way. I enjoyed seeing him as a character and him caring for Lazarus. Her banter with Death trough the book and them hunting and trying to kill each other was chefs kiss. Also, her taking care of Ben and doing everything for him was also a nice surprise. Truly an enjoyable end to this series, definitely one of the best series I've read so far this year.

i liked this book. Famine and Ana were fun to read about. Famine was a typical ‘hero - he wasn't but let's just say that for now- who pretends to not have a heart but secretly cares a lot for the girl.
This book had more gore and blood than the second book, but I did like that in this.
Even though I liked the book, the characters were less sticking in my head than the couple from the second book. I did like this ending more than in book two.
Definitie going to read the last book after this ending.

It took me a long time to finish this book. I was enjoying myself but the book got slow towards the middle and I just put it down. I was determined to finish it, so I continued and I was not let down.
I really liked the pregnancy and war adjusting to it. I liked Miriam and I enjoyed her as a character. She had a mind and wasn't afraid.
I really like Laura's writing and I chuckled a few times. I haven't read the first book even though I wanted to, but I just didn't feel like reading it. I do want to read Deaths book, not sure about the third one
