A Superb Approach to Nurturing Leaders, Fostering Growth, and Cultivating Trust.

It's a typical Scalzi book, which isn't bad. Interesting story and a quick read.

The book does a great job of explaining what is in our foods these days. The author breaks down why they put these things in our foods and explains how to live a better life through the foods we eat.

The book wasn't for me, it couldn't keep my interest.

A good book on how we engineer in our world. This is in contrast to how we make scientific discoveries.

Her books are so hit-and-miss with me. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is one of my favorite books from the last few years. But I couldn't get into this book, and after a few hours, I put it down, knowing I wouldn't pick it up again.

As a person who loves Blake Crouch's work I was very disappointed with this book. I'm not a fan of Western period books to begin with but I figured if anyone could get me into the genre it would be Crouch. I was wrong. I would skip this book.

I couldn't get into the book. I put it down after a few hours of reading just could never come back to it.

Her books always make me think and reconsider how I'm living my life. They always give me plenty to chew upon as I go about my day. Using science and research to develop theories of how people act and behave and then providing simple explanations for complex problems. They aren't easy fixes by any means. Her data will make you think and ask yourself hard questions.

It's nice to read her books and see what her current research is showing. I'm shocked but not surprised at what she and her staff are finding out about our behaviors. Many times during the reading, I had to stop and say, “Yep, that is exactly how I would react.” and then work through how it was the wrong reaction and what I was actually feeling that made me react that way. Her books are always a good spot to start for self-reflection.

I enjoyed Le Guin stories quite a bit. This one was no exception. Very well written, and her character descriptions are well thought out.

I started reading it and wasn't enjoying the concept.

Great book if you're looking for a better understanding of shame in fear in our culture. Brown discusses her finding in interviewing 1000s of people who want to live a more genuine life. She discusses the things that stop us from doing that and how to overcome them to improve our lives.

If you want a great book on the behind-the-scenes at Pixar, plus a view into the creative process and management of creative people. This is your book.

I enjoyed Jemisin's The Broken World series, so I thought I'd try this one. And yes, I know I started with the 2nd book, but it didn't matter. After 20 pages, I didn't like the story or characters. It wasn't a book for me.

The book, while well written, left me wanting more story. It felt more like love letters between Romeo and Juliette. Fortunately, it was short and I can move on to better books.

I've tried 2 times now to read this book. I've enjoyed her other books quite a lot, but can't get into this one.

While I didn't enjoy the book as much as The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, it was still well-written and intriguing. Schwab does a great job with strong female characters and Lilah doesn't disappoint.

Rovelli does a nice job of summarizing his key points in a friendly and simple manner.

This was a very interesting book, crossing many genres and characters together. I didn't think the story would work, but in the end, Aoki pulls it together, and the ending was satisfying.

Well written book, but the story wasn't for me.

From the start, this book failed to pull me in. Lafferty's lack of attention to detail is evident in the first few pages, which was my first red flag. The terrible dialogue was my next clue this book wasn't for me. I pulled the plug after the 3rd chapter and won't be returning.

This book wasn't for me. I had to bail about 1/4 of the way in.

An interesting take on the Peter Pan story. It continues by following descendants of Wendy. Telling the story from their perspective and how the family lived following their return from Neverland. I enjoyed it quite a bit because it paints Peter as the villain of the story.
