the depiction of a toxic relationship with a narcissist person :))
this was great but not phenomenal in my opinion

yeah I relate with your wtfness Melissa

I hated her, I hated her so much it could had burned a hole in my chest, I hated her when I should have hated him
loved it !!! but god I hate men and power together

I couldn't finished it because I was so disturbed and frustrated but damn... this is so fucking genius of iain reid
this book is made for you to reread after first finishing it and THEN you'll understand this piece of art

you have to experience her books

it's a shot of life, a shot of hope and a sheers to women

hum... the vibes were exactly what I expected them to be, but the plot felt flat to me
I didn't LOVE it, but I didn't HATE it either, it was a pretty good time overall

“How was I supposed to differentiate between the pain due to the concussion and the pain due to the agony of everyday human life?”
in weird-feminist-saphic books we trust

this is so fucked up ???

new favorite author....she's very talented
her characters are neurodivergent and it's so good to see that in books ! so yeah the depictions are

i felt so much for molly, she's precious

“What happened at school stayed at schoolWherever I went I carried the weight of what my classmate did to meBut strictly speaking it occupied a half of my whole life”
it open the wounds of the bulling you lived, but god it finally put words on those wounds too

I have no words, it's a piece of art
it is a short book but let me tell you, it doesn't take away the amount of emotions and strength of the content inside

I felt so seen, the way her brain works is so well described
(the suicidal episode in particular)

but the very last sentences left me perplexed, being mentally ill isn't a mindset but a disease and you can recover only thanks too therapy :)

can't really pin-point why I'm in love with this book, it just resonated something within me
Melissa broder's writing is exquisite, one of my favorite author

not long enough.
I want more of this stunning writing, more of this perfection.
this book will stay with me for a while, a year, as long as i'm alive ;)

is junji ito okay ? because his work is questionably disturbing

DNF 34%
I tried, but I can't pass the age gap AT ALL
the bestfriend is shown as a young-naive-pure girl, everyone is lying to her
ex; they're all talking in the kitchen, but Erin and Cassie are literally making sex-jokes, that only them can understand, this is just immature

I thought it was going to be a 5 stars but it is a good 4
