4 stars or 5 stars, leaning towards 5 stars. I loved almost absolutely everything about this book. I loved the main leads, their romance, their banter and the plot. All of the scenes were just so good. Olive cracked me up. My only complaints are the mentions of cancer which dampened the romcom side of the book and the jump to the epilogue was so abrupt and unsatisfying.
I wanted at least one scene of the main couple officially together but it went from fake dating to confession to epilogue. We didn't even get to see the male lead's reaction to the female lead's confession.
The spice rating of this book is low, there is only one smut scene but this one smut scene was just fire. I reread this book immediately after finishing because I loved the leads so much
Once I got over the initial 10% to get to when the FMC meets Jake, this book really started to kick off. The FMC had really great chemistry with all 3 of the men, and surprisingly, as someone who doesn't read RH, I really shipped the FMC with all 3 of them and the smut was really good.
The book at times was quite slow though and I had to skim through where nothing was happening. Particularly the last 80%.
What really took the rating down below a 3 star was the change of the FMC shifting to liking the MMC only was so abrupt it was jarring. Jake and Noah were suddenly dropped as love interests out of no where and Jake suddenly forced into something with Mirai.
It had promise but it couldn't hold my attention. I really liked how cleverly the roles of the greek gods, the thirteen, were integrated in modern society in the plot. I was totally digging the independent heroine who was ambushed by her power-hungry mother into marrying the powerful Zeus, only for her to run off into Hades's territory.
Hades was too tame for my liking and I found myself disinterested in the plot. He was the cliche misunderstood not-villain with a ‘tragic backstory'. Although I did like all the scenes where he's so obsessed with taking care of her - the amount of times he carried the female lead? Dug it. DNF 50%
Torn between 3-4 stars. This is heavy on plot and light on romance. The plot is good though I loved and lived for the romance that is in it. The main couple, their love and dynamics is everything. The smut as always in this series is really good. The male lead is just so obsessed with the female lead I love it.
Really liked the main leads and their romance. Plot engaging. Solid 4 stars. The smut was good and I loved how obsessed the male lead was with the female lead as well as their whole dynamic.
The plot in this was good too though I enjoyed the romance more. The male lead's pining in this book was everything
DNF 22%. The book felt so slow. I didn't connect with any of the characters - I keep forgetting which MMC is who and I didn't care about the male or female leads. I also wasn't feeling any chemistry. I finally DNF when we got to Diesel's tragic backstory.
DNF 41%. Maybe it's because of the poly dynamics but really, I didn't like any of the MMCs or the FMCs. I really tried to get into this book because so many people rave about it. But in the 41% I read, where there was plenty of smut scenes, I didn't care about any of it. I'm not invested in anything about the characters or the plot e.g. who is Ted.
As much as I love second chance romances, I didn't like the plot of this book.
It was a big miscommunication that lasted way too long and there were way too many scenes focused on a side couple, Bethany and Wes, instead of building chemistry between the main leads.
The only thing good about this book is the smut, which was well written. Not amazing but good. Wouldn't reread this book.
It's actually a really great book. I just didn't fall in love with the FMC or MMC like I did in In a Week To Be Wicked and Do you want to start a scandal
This book was a bit slow at time but overall, it was an enjoyable story. I can see why it's a favorite - Rhys Winterbourne is so swoonworthy being so obsessed over Helen, where he just couldn't get enough of her
It really picked up for me once Helen met her biological father. The angst when she decided she couldn't marry Rhys and then the scene where Rhys found her and said he'd find her even if she went to France were my favorite.
I'm not the biggest fan of adopted child but though I didn't love it, it worked okay in this story
This was almost a 4 star at the start. Omg I really liked Dimitri, the insta lust, how obsessed he was with the FMC from the start, how possessive he was and he'd kill absolutely anything that'd get in the way between him and the FMC. I also loved the forced marriage and how manipulative he is. The FMC was ok, likeable enough.
And the kiss scene in Ch2??? That was so hot.
Some of the smut was also good but some of it was cringe, especially some of the dialogue.
I absolutely hated the FMC's family. They were really annoying and ultimately resulted in my DNF at 70% and then I skipped to 89% where there was the big reveal which I liked. I also didn't like Dimitri's tragic backstory, it was unnecessary and dragged the plot
I loved this so much better than The Master and The Professional
It took me about 20% to get into the book - when Raiden was locked in the dungeon I was cooked. The chemistry between Audra/Raiden and Audra/Zad was so good I was constantly guessing who would end up with the FMC and if it'd be poly, though I thought Audra and Raiden had the best chemistry. The way the author wrote the last 20% though just seemed abrupt and convenient for Audra and Zad to end up together. Raiden hooking up with Eline and suddenly doesn't have feelings for Audra anymore after finding out Audra and Zad are linked just seemed so out of character and it killed my interest in the book.
The plot twist with Raiden and Nova having set up the marriage completely blew my mind. I just really hated the way the Audra/Zad/Raiden triangle was resolved though
I did quite like this book, I did think it went downhill a bit from 85% and it could have been spicier.
I really liked the manipulative nature of the male lead: moving into the female lead's house, buying complicated coffee machines just so that she'd be forced to rely on him, kidnapping her in the middle of the night to bring her over to his apartment, subtly moving her into his apartment and becoming by the majority shareholder so that the female lead can't leave him.
I also really liked his jealous and possessive nature, especially over Chris. And I did like how he recreated the book he burned in the fire to earn the female lead's forgiveness - that was the sweetest. And he's obsessed with the female lead - removing contraception, refusing condoms and tried to get her to marry him.
I was disappointed there wasn't forced marriage and pregnancy actually. I felt the story went downhill starting from when the male lead stopped having a dark manipulative side anymore. He sold all of the extra shares, only to end up in the exact same situation he tried to prevent, having Milo destroy his career with lawsuits. It just made no sense. He wanted to marry the female lead but he just let it go. The dark in the dark romance just wasn't there
And as much as I looked forward to an HEA epilogue, I thought the ceremony being a mess just wasn't the ending that fitted the story. Although I did like the MMC saying he'd bring the altar to her if she didn't marry him.
I probably should have DNF earlier but I really wanted to like this book since it's highly praised on dark romance social media posts.
DNF 50%. I was so bored the entire time reading - it was so slow. There were constant flash backs to 3 years ago but whether it's the past or present, I felt like nothing was happening nor was I curious. There was no romance happening either and I didn't care for any of the characters in the book
The book was a quick average read, fun and spicy enough to finish but I wouldn't say it was that good. The MMC wasn't the type of character I'd swoon over and I was indifferent to the FMC. What kept this going is their dynamics and the spice
Short spicy omega verse novella. It does have some typos and I can't say it was the most memorable because there's not a lot of info provided about the MCs but fun short read
This was a solid 3 or 4 stars until the secondary male character was suddenly paired off. There was such great chemistry between the female lead and secondary male lead as well as the female lead and male lead. I was really enjoying the love triangle
The suddenly pairing seemed so forced and a convenient way to get rid of him. Like the secondary male character's love for the female lead just fizzled out like that?
I loved how manipulative the male lead is, the way he seemed to always be able to get the female lead where he wants her to be and outmanoeuvred her.
However, after the secondary lead was out of the picture, he became the most frustrating person ever. His reason for pushing the female lead away was so stupid and cliche - he was so hot and cold I wanted the female lead to break up with him or at least make him grovel. But the female lead always ended up coming back to him at his beck and call like she had no self worth. I love doormat FMCs but even this was too much for me
As much as I liked the male lead's obsession and his chemistry with the female lead, the leads were so frustrating I didn't want them together. The MMC was a very cliche “I'm not good enough for the FMC”. I'm undecided if I'll even read the second book

Dark romance though not really dark. I liked the plot and characters well enough but didn't like the conflict in the middle. It just seemed like too simple of a misunderstanding. I also wish this book was darker. We saw a hint of the male lead's dark side because he was so obsessed with his mate but he just gave up and didn't go through with it.
Wouldn't reread though I did like the vampire/blood drinking aspect, fated mates and a male lead utterly obsessed with the female lead.
I really wanted to like this but I DNF 27%. The characters weren't likeable, they had no chemistry and I wasn't the biggest fan of the writing
Solid 3 star dark romance. A very clever twist on the fairy tale. The male lead is dark in this story, he kills unapologetically and people fear him. He has history with the female lead's father and unexpectedly meets his daughter and its lust at first sight. Initially the plan is to use her but he eventually (of course) developed feelings for her. He's deceptively charming and persistent so the female lead falls for him. There is kidnapping, betrayal and misunderstandings.
Despite being dark, I'm not sure I would call the male lead a villain. He doesn't kill without justification and though he kidnaps the female lead at some point, it is due to a misunderstanding. There is a brief thought of breeding the female lead for revenge purposes though he doesn't go through with it
The story is well paced, there is nowhere that dragged. I did see one of the plot twists early on but I didn't guess the others nor the ending. Overall the plot was OK.
There are a couple of scenes of smut, which I liked ok enough though there is breath play/choking which I wasn't a fan of. There is nowhere non con or dub con.
I wouldn't reread but I did devour this in one sitting because I liked the romance between the leads, though I wish the male lead was darker and the plot was slightly more to my liking
The plot of this book is 5 stars no question - it was riveting, unpredictable and I devoured this book in one day. I also loved Max and Tisaanah, they loved each other so much, they were headstrong and Tisaanah is someone who truly makes Max into a better person.
The scene where Max and Tisaanah reunite after Max escapes prison was everything I hoped it'd be - the scenes where Max couldn't resist her even though he didn't remember her, Tisaanah willing to sacrifice herself so Max could be safe and when Max came back for her when it was revealed the whole time in prison he was drawing her face were all so good.
The reunion of the MCs with Aefe was also really good - despite blaming humans for everything she went through, she still had a soft spot for Tisaanah especially. I really wish we could have had more interaction between Aefe and Max/Tisaanah, I was really hoping for a full conversation or two so that Aefe could explore how she felt about them now that she had her separate body.
As soon as Caduan was revealed to be using dark magic I could predict how he and Aefe's story would end and my heart broke that they had such a short time together after everything they went through the last 500 years, though it was the most appropriate ending.
The constant switch in perspectives annoyed me a bit but not as much as the previous book. The drop in star was mainly because the book was so slow at the beginning when the two MCs were separated and it was so miserable and hard reading about the human experiementation Nura was conducting on Max and Max remembering absolutely nothing, feeling absolutely nothing - it's hard to believe Nura ever loved him. I just kept waiting for the FMC to save him to no avail and the reunion only happened 20% in.
Plot wise I loved the first two books better. However, I could not think of a better ending for this series with all subplots resolved well.
I would highly recommend this series - the plot is just incredible.
This story is really good - the plot itself is 5 stars but the writing has a massive pacing problem. The constant switch in perspectives as soon as any momentum started building was frustrating and jarring.
It took until 30% for me to even tolerate Aefe's perspectives. I could guess this side story was to do with Reshaye's backstory but it seemed to come out of nowhere with heaps of new characters near the start of the book and no idea how it even relates to the main story. I actually had to put the book down a few times because I was so frustrated the author just changed perspectives just when things were getting good. The whole side story could have been woven so much better - this is what let the whole book down. I did like how it all tied together with Ishqa at the beach but this only hit at the 70% mark and that was way too long. If it was written better, this would be have been 5 stars.
I loved the two MCs and I really felt for Reshaye, I even found her loveable in the end when she really started to care for the FMC - the main story was so good in this book. I was so sad when Reshaye died for her. I had a theory that Reshaye was Caduan after Aefe's perspectives and my heart broke for Reshaye when I found out how it came to be what it became. The betrayal of Ishqa.
The Fey King being Caduan was also an unexpected twist. I had theorised that it perhaps was Aefe's biological father.
And now Aefe having an actual form... surely she still remembers how she cared for the two MCs and stops the war.
I did not buy any of Nura's back story though. Perhaps it was supposed to invoke sympathy but I found her perspective annoying to read
I DNF this book about 5 times. Initially the book is so slow. The names are so hard to remember, there were too many character names and nothing was happening plot wise. But when the FMC met the MMC 15% in, wow the story was absolutely riveting and blew my mind
The plot, the romance and the chemistry between the two were so good. I adored both the FMC and MMC - the FMC is such a go getter, confident, badass.
I even liked Sam and Moth, the side characters. Moth was especially hilarious
It would have been a 5 star if the start wasn't so slow and confusing
I love fated fae but the writing in this was so slow. I didn't find any of the characters all that likeable in this book and the romance not intense enough. DNF 60%
