Elizabeth is a college dean visiting from the cold Northeast to finish writing her book for a month in the islands and is not looking for love or even lust as her track record has shown her just does not have the aptitude for it. Enter good looking Colby aka “Breaker” and Elizabeth's libido tells her a different story. Cannon lets the relationship develop instead of just having the characters jump into bed, which lays a nice foundation for the relationship and the sex to come. Each character has past with depth and a present that is fully fleshed out. There are no shortcuts taken here and you will not feel left wanting. The sex is easy and fun (though I can always use more, but then that is my reader preference). The romance is leaves you wishing that you too could be traveling through Maui and falling in love or maybe even a little lust if it is with Colby.#PG13Sex #LesbianRomance #Romance #LGBT #4Stars #JulieCannon #BreakersPassion #BoldStrokesBooks #FlippingRainbows #PhoebesRainbowWorld

Quinn and Libby have been married for a long time and after having struggled to no avail to have a baby have only become frustrated and stagnate with each other. Libby takes her marriage by the horns by telling Quinn he needs to ship up or ship out. This leads Quinn and later Libby and Quinn on a road to self-discovery that they never took individually nor as a married couple. I think all partners who have been together for awhile should take a couple of hours and read this and they might be reminded of what could be lost and gain some helpful tips along the way. James brings the sex and the kink, but enough to scare anybody off. I am a huge fan of her's so I admit to some prejudice, but I think you will like this.#RoughRiders #Rratedsex #Romance #MarriedRomance #Novella #3Stars #LoreleiJames #StrongSilentType #FlippingRainbows #PhoebesRainbowWorld

Nothing could go wrong or could it?Ali Parker brings carnality into accounting with His Demands: Book 1 His Needs (Billionaire Alpha, #1). Bethany's mother is marrying the owner of an accounting firm and she interns for his CFO son Damon. Sparks immediately fly for her and against own wishes she gives into her body's demands for his and begins an internship she will not soon forget. I really do not want to say much more as Parker does an outstanding job of balancing sex and the heroine's feelings as she usually does. This short story is not as kinky as her usual works that I am familiar with, but it will still make you squirm at times. There is only one personal dislike that I have and that is just a personal preference of mine, I am not a fan of having the hero have sex with other people while supposedly interested in the heroine. I get that it happens in real life, but in my romance books I like to think partner meets partner and voila (but that's just me). My personal quirk should not stop you from devouring this short story as it did not stop me.#BillionaireAlpha #Rratedsex #romance #AliParker #HisDemands #3Stars #FlippingRainbows #PhoebesRainbowWorld

[bc:Awakening to Sunlight 7413249 Awakening to Sunlight Lindsey Stone https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1328743797s/7413249.jpg 9344189]Lindsey Stone gives us an intense and emotional relationship in Awakening to Sunlight. Judith escapes an emotionally abusive household with her child only to land on a stranger's doorstep who is suffering from her own demons. When we first meet Lizzy she is emotionally closed off to everyone - even her close friends. Judith is a raw ball of emotions, which forces Lizzy out of shell just to be able to lend her a helping hand. Two wounded souls with no thought of love find a way together to just live life together. Their stories are emotional as are their successes. Some of real life is missing as the expected consequences to some actions are taken in the book. Judith is a straight woman who has never had a homosexual relationship, yet there is no real conversation about this which goes against character type as she is very much a people pleaser and homosexuality is not exactly going along with the grain (well my grain it is). The end result of the book and the relationship comes rather abruptly as if Stone ran out of time and was told to hurry up and finish the book. It is satisfying, but lacks the richness the rest of the book and the characters have. Overall, I recommend the book, but be prepared for its intensity.#PGSex #LesbianRomance #HetroToLesbianRomance #Romance #LindseyStone #AwakeningToSunslight #BoldStrokesBooks #FlippingRainbows #PhoebesRainbowWorld

Sydney's character is fully fleshed and humanized due to her back story where Emmett's focus on her career can make it seem one-sided at times. The competition and shifting allegiances as two teams have to merge together is fun and we see the growth of Sydney's team and it is enjoyable. There are recurring characters from other books, but you do not really need to know them to understand their place in the story line and there are new characters that you already hope that Radclyffe is planning to write about. If you are a Grey's Anatomy fan - then pick this up because it reminds me when the two hospitals merged and we had to see who was going to come out on top.#Rratedsex #lesbianromance #medicalromance #Radclyffe #PassionateRivals #BoldStrokesBooks #3Stars #PhoebesRainbowWorld #FlippingRainbows

What this does tell you though is that Singh is an author worth reading no matter the series as she is top of the line and an automatic buy for me.Two people trying to avoid the patriarchal demands of marriage only to end up craving the one thing both protest not to want.Singh does it again with Rebel Hard and introduces us to a culture and a love story that includes a little bit of everything for everyone. Raj is a throwback to old times yet is a mixture of today whereas Nayna only agrees to an arraigned marriage against her will, but plans to have one last night of fun. In only the romance world, Raj and Nayna meet and you can guess the rest. Singh lets the characters get to know each other even in this demanding marriage culture while still respecting the culture and the characters - a fine line in fiction romance. I do not want to go into a lot of detail as it will give the story line away, but it gives the reader a glance into a culture they may not know and if you do not care you still get a great romance as the chemistry between Raj and Nayna is off the charts.#HardPlay #Rratedsex #romance #NaliniSingh #4Stars #PhoebesRainbowWorld #FlippingRainbows

Three women on a collision course with pain and betrayal - will they find their way back to themselves?

Any story that deals with adultery is bound to be a trigger for those who have gone through this, but please give this book a chance. Spangler deftly handles the emotions of all participants and does not cheat the reader or the characters with cookie cutter answers or emotions. This is a well developed character piece which takes place over time - and is not time the answer to most things?

This book is a touchy subject matter for some with emotional sex scenes.

A bisexual younger judge, Maya, for a reality baking show meets an older lesbian contestant, Shannon, and more than batter gets mixed.

The progression of the main relationship between the judge and the contestant is realistic and cute. The author brings in another couple (Sawyer and Jori) to spice up the beginning of the book, while Maya and Shannon find their way to each other. The issue with the second story line is that Sawyer and Jori are having problems which in the second half of the book are mysteriously resolved - yet not - with a surprise conversation unheard by the reader. They are almost nonexistent in the second half of the book and there is a significant disconnect in the friendship between Jori and her best friend Shannon which does not make sense. In rushing to the romantic end for Maya and Shannon, other relationships ended up suffering.

For the Love of Cake is a quick fun romance with likeable characters and relatable bisexual/lesbian issues. PG-13 sex scenes.

Ice hockey player, Courtney Abbott, meets concert violinist and single-mother, Lana Caruso, and both hope not to slip on the ice as they navigate their way to keeping their hearts safe from love.

Trebelhorn gives the reader a solid romance. There is courtship, humor, real-life, and the truth about relationships, family, and the pressures of having career dreams. I wish I could say more, but I sincerely liked this book and there is not much to quibble with and I do not really want to give a lot away so - enjoy!!

PG-13 sex scenes.

Betsy Taylor gets a job selling the thing she loves most: shoes. Now, if someone could just stop killing vampires she might just get to work on time.

Once again, Davidson brings the sharp wit and sarcasm I loved in “Unwed” here in Unemployed. We learn more about the responsibilities that Betsy now has as Queen of the Undead and get to revisit all of the dysfunctional areas of her life with humor and style. The relationships with the secondary characters grows and broadens. Her love interest, Sinclair, deepens his role in Betsy's life with some interesting results.

A quick read with chuckles thrown in - and more knowledge about shoes than I will ever have.

Creating a safe world for her own leopard, she finds her mate in the midst of her heat and he stirs up more than her hormones.

Leopard's Blood is a light Feehan romance this time. The byplay between Evangeline and Joshua is heavily laden with sexual overtones of “no - yes please” and “urrggghhh” arrogance. The heroines (Evangeline's only friend t00) need to be saved and of course attempt to save their loved ones only to have to be saved by the men. I have seen reviews where people have complained about the sex, but I love sex so I have no problems with all of the sex in the book (smile). Yes, please.

R-rated for the sex. Standard romantic dialog and antics. Great weekend read.

Who thought that having your roommate drag you into joining a sorority would be so neck bitingly fun?

I have to preface this review with this statement: I have fallen in love and her name is Rebekah Weatherspoon. I do not say this often as the last time this happened it was...12 years ago - and I read A LOT. I loved the writing, the story, the inner conflicts of the girls, and of course the love story of Ginger and Camila. The story did not feel rushed or cramped with all of the characters and their stories - everything fell evenly into place. Now if you have read any of my other reviews, then you know I am all about the sex and Weatherspoon brings it (thank you, thank you). This is a book you do not want to put down and when finished you are looking for her next one.

R-rated sex, paranormal, and some Weatherspoon magic.

Queen Betsy is now a nightclub owner drowning in family dysfunction as her stepmother announces her pregnancy and oops she also gave birth years ago to Betsy's half-sister, the spawn of Satan.

Davidson writes Betsy's relationships with the secondary characters with care and depth. There is humor and with this book some darkness as they confront the realities of Betsy being vampire. What is lacking is the connection with Sinclair, Betsy's love interest. There is sarcastic flirting, but no foundation to explain the sudden change in their relationship. I have no sense of a real connection between them - no bonding moments. The everyday moments and real conversations that make a relationship instead we just have “save the day” and “pat her head” moments. There was also two secondary characters brought in that if I hadn't read a short story as a fluke, I would have been lost as to who they were as no real detail was given but they played a part of the story.

Something was missing in this book and for me it was the romance - which funnily enough Betsy said too.

Elizabeth Taylor is having a bad birthday which ends up with her dead. Betsy, as she prefers to be known, wakes up later to realize that the world has moved on without her and she is still here among the living, but as what? This first book introduces you to her friends and her life as it was, is, and what it might become.

I had never read or heard of the author when I picked up this book, I still do not know how I came across it, but I am glad I did. The writing style reminds me of another favorite author of mine: Lass Small. It is quick-witted, smart, and relatable. Now you are thinking, “How are vampires relatable?” Betsy does not see herself as a vampire and that is the key point of the story. She is just like the rest of us and just struggling to get along in this crazy thing we call life - with the exception that everyone is trying to kill her. She handles it all with humor, sarcasm, and style. Davidson focuses on the secondary characters and the relationships involved which is important for a series and this is done smoothly.

This quick read is full of sarcasm and quick wit. It has a range of characters including LGBT and includes a group sex scene (Betsy is not in it).

What Trinity thinks is a bad day ends with her being where fate needs her to be to meet Walker. As romance stories have taken us before with misunderstandings, Ms. James does this with style. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and could not put it down.

A must read for anyone who wants to know the thoughts behind what was written in the Constitution.

Different interpretations of how the amendments were written and why.

The fourth book in the Anita Blake series is not as fun as her first three. There were a lot of characters and I felt that too much was happening off-stage and there were too many new characters. Still going to continue the series...I'll keep you updated.

The one thing I did not expect was to laugh aloud while reading this. This is a must read for any writer who is just starting out. I am still in school, but already my writing has improved. I hear Stephen's words in my head all of the time now as I write. Though, he sounds really feminine in my head.

I am a fan of Tara Sue Me. I love Nathaniel and Abby, but this book was a little stale for me. The issue dealt with in the book is a real one and it was dealt with honestly. It still came across as a little stale for me.

SPOILER ALERT! I cried while reading eighty percent of this book. Maya Banks made Honor's plight very real and heart-wrenching. I have never skipped over a love scene in a book until now - it felt wrong to read it - as if it did not belong. This book was more about a woman's survival than it was a love story. I have found that as the KGI Series has grown so has the emotional depth of the characters. I found the ending too simplistic for the trauma the reader and Honor goes through. If you are looking for a romance, this is NOT it. This is an amazing story of a woman who survives and conquers her fears while retaining who she is (even in her darkest hour she is still herself). As I said earlier, I cried for eighty percent of this book. It might actually take me a couple of more days to actually say whether I liked it or not, but I did like Honor.

An okay formula story - no surprises.

I really like her short stories, but for some reason I did not like this book.

It took me awhile to finish this book when usually a book only takes me a couple of hours. I immensely disliked the heroine. She was always getting into trouble which was a result of her own foolishness - and not in a good way. I understand that the hero is supposed to “save the day.” What happened to this hero due to her behavior was horrible. I do not understand how he “fell in love.” There was nothing of substance between the two of the characters.
