I love this book. Everything I learned and everything it stands for. Cannot wait for the sequel.

I enjoyed this book way more in the beginning half than the end; as it became increasingly redundant in both tempo and tale - there were less and less surprises, and the monotony in the staccato voice of the author was a bit much to take.

I enjoyed this entry in the series much more than the last! It had a couple twists I didnt expect and even though the ending was kinda sad it made me smile...

this book is nuts, its whimsical and dark, thought provoking and mind blowing....its a fricken contradiction that i thoroughly enjoyed...

Interesting read, new way to look at heaven and hell, and personal ideals. Will likely read more from this author and about the Toltec.

I really enjoyed this book! Alan Dean Foster writes action and sci-fi in a way that is both exciting and enjoyable. The book plays very closely to the movie, with an added flare of the occasional inner monologue or motivation. Def recommend.

This is one series I wish was an Anime.

These words are powerful, they are her words, they are yours, they are mine. This book broke me, and built me.. I angered and I praised... It's perfection between the covers, and if you do not read this book you are doing yourself a disservice. <3 Rupi Kaur is a woman to be heard.

Great great read! Really enjoyed this series, looking forward to more by Blake Crouch. Really eager as a matter of fact to read Dark Matter! Woohooo... pick Pines up and rwad it now.

A few notes to take away from this book [from the chapter affirmations for introverts, but pretty much sums up the msg in the book entirely]:
1) staying home is doing something,
2) i like who i like, and just because i don't like you doesn't mean i hate you,
3) listening to bores is not my job,
4) managing my energy is a favor to myself and everyone around me,
5) saying no is ok,
6) just because I'm quiet doesn't mean i have nothing to say,
7) a ringing phone is not a mandate,
8) i know what i need better than anyone else,
9) other peoples desire for me to participate is not more important than my desire not to.

Finally, if you don't like the me that I am...Not my responsibily, not my problem.

Great read! One everyone should read, insightful, calls us out on all the self shaming we do to ourselves and to others. A terrible but honest truth.

The first chapter was a great intro, captivated me with the mystery of Belle's missing brother. Chapter two completely lost me with the intro of the fae, but won me back it Chapter three when the story started progressing. Overall a pretty ok and quick read, but that was what I was looking for.

Very insiteful book. Discusses practicing forgiveness, and responding versus reacting. About exhibiting insiteful behavior, finding the reasoning behind your anger and fears and embracing them. will def be looking into this methodology further.

I really enjoyed this one, kept thinking this is so predictable - everyone said there was this big twist I'd never see coming - there was, smacked me, and pissed me off that I didn't see it sooner! LOL I'd recommend this to anyone who loves a good mystery, this one spans more than 50 years... you travel back and forth from different points of view in different times. Overall very enjoyable even if the ending didn't happen they way I thought it ought, closer to the tragedy at the end of “Women in Black”, still worth every minute.

This was a beautifully written story. I felt the full range of emotions, from love, to fear, to sadness, and then desperation. I realized that everyone really truly has superpowers, and I believe mine is empathy. The only reason I gave this story 4 stars is because it made me feel too deeply, moments physically hurt reading them. It made me miss my own grandmother, and my childhood, but also made me appreciate my own children, their voices and the stories we have yet to learn about those that most impact our lives.

Please read this book. The story of the Land of Almost Awake is worthy of telling in it's own right, and left me feeling pure jealousy at the creativity it took for this author to bring it to life.

This book is bursting with emotion. I could not have been happier to follow Jean Perdu on his epic quest to find himself, to find forgiveness, and to most of all to find love again. It's beautifully written, and packed with ups and downs. It leaves you filled with hope for your own future.

Ok, ok, I give it to you, this book is a page turner! I finished it faster than any other of the 11 books I read this year. Granted I called the ‘attacker' in chapter 1, even if there is a twist, that I won't spoil for you. All I can say is go with your gut, for some this will be an intriguing read, for others the repetition will drive you, it will be quick, it will be painless, it will leave you with a sense of wtf... but hey you'll make out better than “Chrissy” did.

Well I didn't see that coming...I'm dumbstruck! The twists and turns in this fast-paced page-turner will keep you guessing beyond the last page! It was great and so unexpected, I hope this is the first in a new trend.

Struggled through this, book was a little dry, straight forward writing, just couldn't hold my interest. The end (last 100 pages or so) made the book worthy of a 4 star rating. Those pages I thoroughly enjoyed!

I found this book difficult to finish, most if not all of the interactions seemed completely unrealistic and forced. Moving on.

Really enjoyed the behind the scenes view of this book! Gave you a few tidbits you didn't get from the anime. Overall an enjoyable read and looking forward to book 2.

Incredible storytelling. I really hope they make this into a movie, following the lives of so many of the ships passengers, the captains and political figures of the time, really broadened the story and added depth. I felt a deep sympathy for those on board the Lusitania, and the events that followed.
