So good!!! Living for the morally grey series.
Shay is a nut, but a loyal women with a heart of gold.
Cole is a grumpy middle child CFO, who is a little lonely but projects his grumpiness to keep people away.
The chemistryyyyy is off the charts. Immediate. Instant. Intoxicating.
The banter and attitude was really fun. I love this authors voice
This was so enjoyable! Steamy and hilarious.
The definition of morally grey, Callum pines for years and curates a whole ass plan with contingencies to get Emory to marry him under the ploy that he needs her to get his inheritance. Emory does it for the money, but sees Callum's soft side underneath all the gruff and tough.
I liked this a lot. I had a ton of fun reading this
I absolutely adore Jason. He's so charming and funny. He loves being ridiculous and getting a reaction out of his friends. He loves to cook!!! He is a softy. He is everything.
Dottie is a tough woman, boss in the corporate real estate world. She has a hard shell, and hates being vulnerable. Has had a crush on Jason since college...
Very much opposites, but Jason is smitten with cracking Dottie's shell.
This was fun, and emotional, and honestly an enjoyable funny read.
This was so good!!! Carson was so funny and charming. Chip on his shoulder, and let's his emotions get the best of him.
Milly is all about baseball. She knows the mechanics better than anyone, and is trying to break the mold for female coaching.
Carson is first not willing to give her a shot after coming back from an injury, but ultimately does once he sees she knows her stuff.
Was reallllllly hoping there wouldn't be a TAB, but such is life. The slow grand gesture was sweet, and we are glad for a happy ending. Milly deserves the best so I think Carson (once he got his head on right) is the best for her.
This was a cute college baseball romance.
The bet they had was a little silly, and kind of prevented them from being as physical as they wanted to be. And for what? Like sure it was for bragging rights and a steak dinner or whatever but it was monthssssss. So silly.
The reunion had all of the emotions. Sadness. Anger. Happiness... glad things had a HEA that's for sure
Knox was a sweetie golden retriever. Emory doesn't deserve him
The banter, comedy, romance, and spice was all there!
It was nice to get nods from LA's previous books and characters as well!!
I love this authors voice and tone, her books are always a pleasant and easy read for me.
I enjoyed this book immensely, but something was missing I can't put my finger on.
I don't know if it was because we didn't see much of the tension that caused them to be rivals or enemies in the past...
We didn't get anything about the ten years they were apart. Really surprised Julian didn't have more to say about her ex?
The mental health was spoken about really kindly and respectfully I think. I appreciated that. I had big emotions when they spoke about how both their fathers passed, and so remembering them made me emotional.
Julian loving her in small quiet ways, tugs at my heart strings. A bit of an ass, sure, but he has a big heart.
I enjoyed reading this a lot - I just wished for a little more.
The FMC, Maven is so terrible. She had an ex boyfriend who came form a rich family and did her wrong so now everyone who comes from money is the worst.
She is assuming people are awful until proven otherwise if she thinks they have money. People only give back to the community for better PR. Awful person. DNF @ 10%.
Gah this was so good. I love Luca, and he is such a charmer you can't help but love.
Impatiently waiting for Miles' story... he is always so funny.
A wonderful but angsty marriage of convenience.
Soirsa is a yes woman and people pleaser. She helps everyone without expecting anything in return. So when Luca needs her help posing as his wife to protect his CEO image, she can't say no.
I really enjoyed learning more about these two, and I really do love this author a lot. Her writing is so addicting.
This was so beautifully done!
The intimacy between Christopher and Kat was amazing.
They started as enemies, but when Chris realizes kat thinks he hates her... all bets are off. He had been distant and argumentative because the pull to her was so strong, but now he isn't stopping himself.
She has ADHD, and he has chronic migraines. Both understand the tolls that take on a person so they are very empathetic and understanding.
Chris is like a chefs kiss of bedroom intimacy and talking and checking in with your partner. Flawless. But he's also charming and cheeky and humorous too
A cute and fun hockey romance with an unexpected meet cute!
Collin hides the fact that he's in the NHL at first, which makes sense. He wants to be wanted for himself not for his job.
Harper feels like he lied to her, but she eventually sees the why.
They fall hard and fast, and this is a cute easy read! Enjoyed it.
We love a marriage of convenience/Vegas wedding that turns into love
Ryan is a content creator and artist, and Rhodes is an NHL player. After celebrating a Stanley cup win in Vegas, the two find themselves married.
They keep up the charade to avoid drama and media fallout, but the two become close and it turns out to
Not be so fake anymore.
Rhodes is such a sweetie I just wanted to hold him and tell him everything is gonna be okay
Ahhhh loved Miller! He was always a delight in the previous ones and thrilled to read his story with Miss Donut and Coffee Truck, Scout.
Scout had a crush on the ever attractive miller, a returning customer. He finally “notices” her and convinces her they should be friends.
Friends turns into more, and it's wonderful.
Miller is so funny, and the banter between him and Scout is so cute. He is confident, and very sure of himself but she keeps him humble.
This was very “only hot athletes have good sex”
The dialogue felt immature, and the smut wasn't amazing. Interesting enough to keep going but overall not impressed.
Rory is assistant GM to Vancouver's hockey team, and Max is the star player but everyone hates because of altercations from his previous team. He has secrets, but later we find out they're good ones that aren't his to share. Max is a good guy painted as a villain but Rory helps set things straight and believes in him.
Loved Lee, but didn't love this book.
I feel like I had to force myself to continue.
Lee and Annie are best friends, who fake date to kind of avoid scrutiny for a townwide event. It isn't fake for Lee tho, and Annie has always been pining after him.
Fake turns to real, and HEA.
It was just a basic friends to lovers romance which makes me sad because I ate up the other books in this series
BEAU!!!! Well worth the wait.
Bittersweet as this is the last in the Chestnut Springs series but it tied everything up in a perfect little bow.
Baileys story was heart breaking, and Beau just wants to save her. She has had rough go with things, and so has he with his special ops background and injuries.
They decide to get fake engaged to benefit them, but Beau I think has always just felt protective of her and wants to keep her close.
The shaving of the pubes was odd. I would never... but also like kind of cute and sexy they did it? same with the lotion on the foot. Won't ever catch me doing that but it's swoon city when she does that for him.
Really enjoyed reading this and felt all of the things.
This was decent, but nothing special. Enjoyable to pass the time but that is about it.
Army vet, and widow, Jack is an organic farmer
Margot is a city girl PR specialist who is coming to help promote Jack's family farm.
He is reluctant of her help and doesn't want her anywhere near his farm.
Opposites attract, kind of enemies to lovers, very much grumpy sunshine
Enjoyable age gap rockstar romance!
Claire is Dom's new PR Assistant and is on the road for his latest tour. Dom is charming, can charm the pants off anyone. Claire was explicitly told not to sleep with him when she was offered the job.
Dom does temporary only. He wants to see Claire while on tour, and be all possessive male “mine” about it.
Claire is recently single after a 4 year marriage, so temporary works for her. She wants to be young and free.
Dom is irresistible silver fox. Claire never stood a chance!
I think Claire is a refreshing breath of life that Dom needs
Heartbreaking and wonderful. Surprisingly emotional reading this, but it was a great read.
Alessandra lost herself during her marriage to Dominic. He focused on work, and she “always understood” when he missed dinner and date nights. It got to be too much and she finally cracked after he forgot their ten year wedding anniversary. She deserves better.
Love her standing up for herself, but it was heart breaking seeing Dom come to the realization of what he lost and seeing how bad he let things get.
Really putting the “forced” in forced proximity
King kidnaps Savannah, and essentially keeps her captive and forced her to marry him. Under the guise of “so she won't be able to convict me in a court of law” type of way.
That's the excuse he used anyway.
King is a fox... or more of a lion. He's delicious and a bad guy with some morals...
This was spicy and entertaining. Excellent plot
This was a wildly addicting dark mafia romance
Just the right amount of dark without being too much.
We see the red flags and accept them any way
The man is obsessed with Payton, and he shows it. She is his; and he does what is necessary to make that happen and keep her. She is more than willing so it's all good.
Can't wait for the rest of the series
