Cute body guard romance !
Xander is a charming ex-Navy SEAL, returning a favour to bodyguard country singer Kelly.
With the 2 being in the same house for 2 weeks 24/7, they chat and share things not many other people know. Xander is big on loyalty and honour so doesn't want to pursue anything physical.
Kelly is cute and seems like a nice refreshing moment for Xander. The two were cute but were nothing special overall.
Ate this up!! I fell in love with every character in this town, as Melanie Harlow tends to make you do!
Austin is afraid of feelings, but can't resist his beautiful runaway bride of a nanny. Veronica left her ex at the alter so she isn't exactly ready to jump into a new relationship ship.
The tension was so good it hurt but this was so fun to read. I enjoyed this a lot
Adam Lockwood is the definition of a golden retriever man.
He is so sweet and caring, and has this huge heart. He wants love and family, but for the right reasons. Too many people have only cared about him because of hockey and the lifestyle that provides.
Rosie is a single mom, and doesn't necessarily need a man but she wants one. She wants a partner, someone to support her and be a family.
After a surprise meeting on a hike, with Bear jumping on Rosie, they walk for a bit and when parting ways, can't stop thinking about the other.
This was such a wonderful story, about found family and chosen family. How love doesn't men's blood, but means who you choose to be in your life no matter what.
I smiled, laughed, cried, felt all the things. Adam is suuuch a sweetie and such a DILF to Connor. It is so fun to see the hockey boys growing up (if that's possible)
Surprisingly angsty!!!
Hux owns the local art gallery, and is struggling to get custody or visitation of his 16 year old daughter.
Everly is Lucy's friend, and overheard a conversation one morning after her hookup with Hux.
She offers to help by getting married to him so he can get his daughter back. He doesn't want commitment, they are just physical.
The story was exciting, and it was fast paced without being rushed. Really enjoyed it
This was a cute insta love small town romance.
Lucy or Jade as she goes by, is a famous singer looking to escape her Nashville life for a small town. She is in hiding, and goes by her alias name.
Duke is the sherif in town, and she immediately catches his eye.
The two have insta spark and love. There is some drama of course, with stalkers and such, but entertaining none the less.
Not my favourite, but enjoyable still. Had the good Devney Perry easy reading vibes
My ovaries exploded reading this. Kai is such a sweet and wonderful single dad to Max. The love is so clear, and he will do anything for his son. Over protective? Maybe, but he means well and wants to give him everything he didn't have.
Miller is the coach's daughter, and here for 2 months to help nanny for Max, since Kai has fired all the other ones.
She's burnt out at work and in need of a break - what better way to spend her summer than to hang out with her dad and a cool toddler with a smokin hot dad.
The attraction was always there, but Kai didn't want to get involved because he knew he would get attached and she wasn't here for long so why hurt himself by falling?
It was slow in the beginning, but by the time we got to read the article, I was in tears. The ugly crying wasn't expected but I don't know why I assumed I wouldn't since I cried at the other two books in this series.
The banter and the family between Kai's friends and family was so heart warming.
The bond between miller and max was so special!
Kai and Monty are daddy goals. Loved this so much
Good, but nothing crazy.
Football star falls for English tutor girl. Knox has a celebrity vow he has taken for the season, he needs to focus on the game and his grades. To help with this he gets a tutor. But this tutor is all he can think about... is she worth breaking the vow for?
It was low key romantic and sweet. Nothing remarkable but still nice to read
How swoony
Griffin is Nadia's brother's best friend, who is 14 years older than her.
They first met in a bar bathroom and shared a spontaneous kiss, and then never saw each other again until a year or two later
Both have demons and pasts they are working to separate from.
Griffin is the former town golden boy, and is struggling to be someone worthy. He has avoidance tendencies and would rather stay away in his house in the Lou rains than face his past. Which means he doesn't feel worthy of Nadia and what she deserves
Griffin is a sweetheart. He is growly on the outside but he is a mushy romantic on the inside.
Nadia is a spitfire with attitude, just the way we like her. She fears becoming like her mother, and just wants to have a family. She finds that in Ruby Creek with her brother, and friends.
This was a cute read about getting a second chance, and a fresh start
This was everything. It made me swoon, and tear up, and it was just perfect.
Violet Eaton - what a force. She wants to work for and earn her accomplishments. She's tired of being coddled and underestimate because of her size. She makes the perfect race horse jockey, but it's a “man's sport” so she has to work to earn respect.
Cole Harding is a veteran, who now runs the family business. He's a suit, with a lot of traumas and triggers, but good news is he's in therapy.
Violet and Cole were anonymous internet pen pals, and then it was a shock when she showed up on his family ranch.
The universe kept putting these two together, and it was wonderful to see the connections and growth.
Cole witnessed his father, horse jockey, die while riding so he is constantly worried about Violet having the same fate. He battles with himself about not being what she deserves and his personal demons with the war and witnessing his fathers death.
Violet helps train horses and knows not to give up on the stubborn. She sticks with him, and gives him a chance to just be. Be himself and choose to love himself enough to know he is worthy of that
The emotion in this took me by surprise!!!
Stefan is the enemy to Gold Rush Ranch, he is the competition down the road.
Mira is the local vet, with a sassy snarky side.
She sees the good, or at least the decent, in Stefan. She defends him to her friends that hate him.
He teases her and asks her on dates, she always declines. But secretly loves it
They grow close, and start going in a couple of “fake dates” but they are real to him. He finds her interesting and wants to keep her close.
She regularly visits his farm to care for the horses, and they slowly build a friendship.
I really really enjoyed the banter and the attitude these two had, in a good natured way. We love smart strong independent woman, who choose to embrace their sexy and feminine side.
This was red flag central.
They barely had a conversation before he went all “who did this to you” and demanded she take her shirt off to see bruises. Then he moves in that day to “protect her”
He's a growly alpha male, ok whatever, but he just like declared she was his woman and that was that.
I get the attempt at a grumpy construction man veteran and a sunshine bakery owner, but this was not it
Also not a great rep of mental health. Her anxiety and hypochondriac was seen as quirks
Only 2 stars because of Poe. He was written for book girls.
I felt Lennon was the most childish and almost pathetic character. Accepting scraps and being ok with that. Where is the self respect.
All the giggling and twirling, like girl are you 12?
Poe doesn't want to love anyone because everyone he loves has died. He agreed to a FWB thing with Lennon, who had a crush on him for a very long time. (Why didn't she put it out there? Everyone including Poe knew. Sheesh)
I didn't want to root for Lennon. I liked her as a minor character in the other books but this one ruined her for me
A cute continuation of the rockstar romance series. This is enemies to lovers, age gap (she's older).
Monica gets a bad rep, but she is a fierce business woman and gets shit done.
Aiden is Nash's younger brother, who acts impulsively at times but cooks a mean breakfast. He's cute and charming but openly hates Monica. She can't stand him either, she thinks he's immature and needs to get over the animosity - Nash did. Why can't he?
The two are in close proximity on tour, and they say there's a thin line between love and hate...
I loved bash!!! So funny and has a heart of gold. He has his rules due to his past and childhood, but Riley seems to break them all. He can't get her out of his head, but he doesn't really want to. She's it for him.
The pregnancy was a surprise but I thought they handled it well all things considered. He loves her so much and is determined to be the best father
Childhood pining, turned enemies sort of, turned lovers.
Deck always had a thing for his best friend Maggie, but never was brave enough to shoot his shot.
Maggie then gets pregnant with a different man, and deck kind of shuts down. She is going to live with her aunt out of town for her pregnancy, and deck has to move on and accept she doesn't want his help.
It's easier for him to push her away and be angry instead of facing her and telling the truth (ugh MEN)
He is a small town cop/detective, so he has loyalty and honour and upholds the law. He's stoic, and stern.
Maggie is a flower shop owner who is bright and happy to a scowling young teen.
The two eventually get their heads out of the asses and say what is on their mind.
I didn't love this one but it was an easy read for me
This was so cute, and gave small town Hallmark vibes.
Honey is Jo's sister from the last book, and she is coming to Chikalu Falls to start over. After quitting her job in a grand fashion, she creates this list to get her life back on track.
Swoony bartender/owner Colin is temptation with an acoustic guitar. After their hookup months ago, neither have stopped thinking about it. But honey can't have a hookup again. It's a small town, and she doesn't want people to talk about her like that. She has plans to open her own bakery and those plans don't involve a man. She has to do this on her own.
Honey is firm on her rules but Colin slowly starts to sneak his way into her heart by “wooing” her.
Their relationship is anything but traditional, but that is what makes them work.
The writing style and the characters were wonderful. I fell in love with this little town in Montana.
Being an honourably discharged marine I'm sure is tough, and being home, but the man needs to talk and express his feelings sheesh.
He got letters from “Joanna” while deployed that kept his spirits up, and he came home to find out that she is his brother's best friend.
He felt his loyalty to his brother being tested, because his Joanna was basically his guiding light and he kept all of her letters. Got tattoos on his body because of her.
I really enjoyed this road trip romance!
Noelle finds an old love letter and photos from her recently deceased grandmother, but the letter isn't to her grandfather. So she posts it on TikTok to see if anyone knows who this man is.
The man turns out to be her high school rival's, theo's, grandfather and they live in the same area.
The trio get together to read the rest of the letters that were kept, and reminisce on the past love story.
Theo and noelle are always in competition and trying to be the best, so the trip has some bickering and banter. Forced proximity and this healing journey of grief pushes the two closer and there is a passionate tension between them. They agree to call a banter truce for the sake of Theo's grandfather, but as the trip moves forward, the more glances and touches pass.
This was a lovely and wonderfully written story about grieving a loved one, and honouring the memory. I felt so comforted by this, and it was really written with so much love.
