And as the quarterfinals draw to a close, we finally get shown an obligatory despicable cook - Mimasaka Subaru, who's apparently an underling of Etsuya Eizan, the current ninth seat of the Council of Ten Masters. Eizan is looking to get back at Souma for disrupting the fried chicken chain store business a few volumes back. Along the way, poor Takumi Aldini becomes a casualty, falling prey to underhanded techniques. Souma pledges his semifinal fight to regain all that was lost.
