Harmony froze then broke allowing Beth to break free and deal with the aftermath of her grief.
Harmony Grace is the voice that fans know and love. She is the “straight” voice that everyone knows. The reality is a woman named Beth whose wife died a year ago in a freak accident who never took the time to grieve. Then one day on stage the two worlds collided in the middle of a song and they both ran.
Running takes Beth and her wife's ghost Cara to Allman where she crashes her car. Luckily for Beth, she landed in a small town with a big heart. Lily feeds her. Skye takes her in. And Cara pushes her to move on.
Can you move on if you don't want to let go? Even if you have love standing right in front of you?
It has been awhile since I have read a Sierra Waters book and I forgot how she can just pull your heartstrings. Full of Woe (B07ZN1WG2K, 2020) is just as much about dealing with loss as it is about falling in love again.
Beth must deal with forgiving herself. Allowing herself to be angry with Cara for dying and acknowledging that it is okay. She must allow herself to just grieve. Beth also learns how to be something else for another person. Instead playing the role she did with her wife, in her newest relationship her role is different. Instead of comparing the two, she learns to accept and roll with life's surprises.
Waters brings to very human women together who have their severe emotional baggage who decide to fight for their own lives and then for each other. It is a beautiful love story, one that I think everyone will enjoy. ✶✶✶✶
I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily
