~
A Kiss of Iron is full of scorching angst. We went from angst to scorch to more angst. There was so much secrecy happening BUT there was also truth behind their actions.
Katherine knew that obeying meant safe and safety was good. Kat was always calculating what was safe and what wasn't. She has been through so much trauma that she didn't allow herself to enjoy the little things. I love seeing Kat's character grow. She was an ember waiting to be ignited.
Bastian. I love his touch her and die deamenor. He is your morally gray character that is is full of mystery. There's still so much that we don't know about him as much as he revealed to Kat.
I love the banter between kat and Bastian. I love their chemistry. I love how well they worked together. What started out as a fake relationship blurred into something else that is becoming very real.
“uncle” Rufus deserves whatever wrath Bastian gives him. This is where you choose your family and blood doesn't mean family. Rufus makes my blood boil!!!
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and all the tropes it offered from morraly gray, forced proximity, touch her and die to shadow magic and more. In addition to that, the fake relationship trope was written so well that I truly enjoyed this book, that is coming from someone that does not like fake dating tropes.
I can't wait to read the next book because the way this ended? Yeah, I need it now.

Thank you for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Moonlight & Fire has potential and there was some tropes that I really enjoyed, but there's just something missing for me. I do like that we weren't bombarded with so much world building like other fantasy books.
I actually like Aurion and his bravado character. He is the knight and shining armor that will save you from the vile world kind of guy.
As for Lunielle, she just seems so childish, I was hoping a really good character development from her, but, that didn't really happen. I do like that she's not selfish in her own ways, I mean the girl is trying to save her kingdom. She's just way too whiny for my liking.
Lord Sepher. Okay, I like his character because who doesn't like the villain? He is the type of man that will burn the world for you and I am here for that.
Honestly my favorite characters are Ulric and Fendrel (I probably misspelled their names). There wasn't much context on the “love” aspect between the characters, it just sort of happened (in my opinion).
But overall, this had a really shocking ending and WTF?!? I can definitely see it happening with the royalty during that time though.

I really enjoyed this journey. I enjoyed the world building that the Lindsey's have created. I really like the idea of having abilities and how each of them has different abilities.
I love Del and Fin's character. I love their familiars Sid and Beast.
The World After is a unique dystopian world with star crossed romance with a hint of fantasy. I wasn't expecting this to be dystopian because I just dove right in, but, I really enjoyed this one ♥️ I can't wait to learn more about this world.

The Demon of the Wood is a dual POV of Kaemon and Melina written in 3rd person.
Kaemon. Kaemon is a demon that lives in the woods. He is such a sweet cinnamon roll, and I ADORE him. Kaemon has his trauma, which prevents him from letting anyone in his life till he meets Melina. I love how he is with Melina and his patience toward her ❤️.
Melina. Melina lives a harsh life, and I am here for her character development! She deserves to be happy after all she's been through with her so-called family. I am sad and mad for her. I am proud of how far she's gone, of her little accomplishments.
Melina's uncle and cousins can rot in hell! Let me add Gregory to that list because he is a d*ckwad!
The Demon of the Wood was short and sweet. I love Kaemon. I am here for Melina's character development. I love the side characters who welcomed Melina with open arms.

Wrath and Emilia have me in a chokehold! I love them so much. These two have been through hell, literally and figuratively. The amount of devotion they have for each other is impeccable, it's the kind that would make anyone envious. Wrath and Emilia are made for each other, as above so below.
❝If you do not allow me to pass, I will return. And when I come back, I'll have the might of House Wrath's army. No one will keep me from him. Not you. Not my sister. Not any other cursed creature in this realm or any other. If I come back, I will unleash my power. I will burn all you hold dear. That, I can promise, is no threat. It's a vow.❞

KoTC shed some light on some of the mysteries from KoTW, some twists and turns that I did not see coming, while others stood out as if in a spotlight. There are still some questions that need answering, and I cannot wait to finally (hopefully) get my answers from the Kingdom of the Feared.

☾ I love the banter between Wrath and Emilia. I think they've got undeniable chemistry and really enjoyed their moments together. I do wish they had more moments together. KoTW brought 𝗦𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡 to a whole new level.
☾ I enjoyed this book so much there were shocking moments that I did not see coming but kinda got suspicious. I love the suspense that KoTW gave, however, what kept it from getting a 5 star was the writing style in some parts - I thought I had missed something so I would flip to the other page to see - but I didn't, it just feels like it jumped a little. With that being said, I cannot wait to read 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗖𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗱.

Not one that's immediate. I want something passionate that I feel down to my toes. Where my eyes roll back as he pleasures me and my entire body flames with yearning.”This book was fking ADORABLE! My brain could not create words because all it wanted to do was giddily scream. Dear Monster Claus was pure bliss and the perfect read if you're looking for that Christmas spirit with a side of monster. I adore Xo and her innocence; she's so innocent that she's got me all flustered. I was blushing so much it reached the north pole. Then Arson was introduced. I love his grumpy personality, which fits perfectly with Xo's sunshine personality. He is too adorable in a sexy kinda way and way too f**king HOT.
I adore this grumpy/sunshine trope so much!
Initial reaction: It's without a doubt a 5-star, but WTF! The way this book just broke my heart. I need a moment to process my heartache.

This book was cute, it was HOT AF, it was everything I never thought I wanted, and it's got tentacles!
Cyrus. I love Cryus and his sweet personality. I love how understanding he is when it comes to Reece. But you know what's hot? Those damn tentacles! Cy really knows how to put them to use. And when Cryus goes dominant? It was chef kiss I mean who would have thought that was possible with his gently self and all that.
Reece. I love how Reece's arc character grew. Yes, he was an ahole (he even admitted to it), however, he also had a really traumatizing childhood, but you know what? He is trying his best dammit! Reece is a fking sweetheart and a big teddy bear underneath all that tough exterior.
The fact that Reece is the reason why Cyrus has something worth living for and Cy is the reason why Reese is slowly healing. Reece and Cyrus both deserve to be happy together ♡
I honestly love this whole circle, yes even Fallon and I hope he too gets his HEA. I love that we got to see Atlas and Tegan. We even got to see more of Reece's and Tegan's mom.

☾ 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗮. Sera is more of a hardhead than Poppy. I love her, but sometimes I wanna strangle her, but I still love her. I love her tenacity. That sparring between her and Nyktos was ᴀᴍᴀᴢɪɴɢ! ☾ 𝗡𝘆𝗸𝘁𝗼𝘀.. Nyktos is a total badass when he goes all primal. I love him, but there were moments when I wanted to punch him in the face; like, WTF, dude? But I still love him. My heart broke for that man. Seeing how he is with Jadis heart eyes then seeing him blush? Ah, that was so damn cute! I love his obsession with Sera's hair, and I have to question where all those hair ties went. Nyktos may not have the capability to love, but he knows how to show he 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗦. I am here for his protectiveness over our dear Sera; the number of threats this man made was 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘧𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘴𝘴.

☾ 𝗡𝗲𝗸𝘁𝗮𝘀. I love him. He is terrific; he is the wingman (you know he is). 𝗝𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀 is the cutest little draken, and so is 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿-𝗯𝘂𝘁𝘁. I honestly really love everyone in the Shadowlands.

Why is this book so adorable? It was short and sweet with lovable characters. It was instant attraction between the two MCs. I love that it has a dual POV. I had a grin the entire time I was reading it. Atlas is adorable. Tegan is adorable. They're both adorable and cheesy but I love them. I love Tegan's feistiness and girl brought it out against Atlas's ex (GO TEGAN!). Tegan cannot stop oogling our dear Atlas, while Atlas has no control over his wagging tail around Tegan and I am here for it, dammit!
It was almost a 5 star, almost. I felt like it was a bit too short. Characters were introduced but didn't fully show up (i.e., Tegan's mom and brother). I really could care less about Jade so I was fine only seeing her that one time.
⊹ 𝗔 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝗿 is being told by Zeke and Raven's POV, and I'm a sucker for dual POV. I wanted to devour this book but didn't want it to end.

☾ The United broke my heart, mended it, and broke it again while mending it at the same time. The amount of emotion I went though while reading this book is ridiculous. Rives threw a few curve ball at me that I didn't see coming and it hit me hard.
☾ August. He is still as swoon worthy as ever and he's gotten sappy when it comes to Emery, specifically when it comes to her. I still absolutely love his possessives and protectiveness over Emery and their daughter. When Augustine and August melded together, I felt that lost. I liked Augustine and all his darkness but I also really like August, so I'm glad we got the best worlds in this one. August sacrifices so so much for the sake of his kingdom, for his daughter and for his mate. Just when I thought everything was fine and dandy, shit hit the fan.
☾ Emery. She is one strong, badass queen who has been through so much. How she was able to function after losing THAT, was beyond me. I cried for her, I broke with her. I love the way she loves with no restraint. She's compassionate but she's battling her own darkness. Her daughter is her light, August is her light, her found family is her light. I enjoyed seeing her character development in embracing her darkness because it is part of her, it is what makes her who she is. Emery's strength is unbelievable and August is damn lucky to have her and he knows it.
☾ The passion between Emery and August is all consuming and I love them so much ♡ They are each others light when the darkness is trying to consume them. I just wanted to take Emery and August and wrap them in a damn bubble. Damn the fates. The sacrifice these two had to go threw fucking broke my heart. These two deserves to be happy. I just want them to be blissfully happy!
☾ Callum. He has always been a big mystery from the very beginning but damn I DID NOT SEE that coming and neither did he. Then I definitely DID NOT see that other one coming, that damn bastard. It all started because of him and it kinda ended with him too. He'll always have a place in my heart ♡
☾ Out of character Dorian is an awesome Dorian. Ansel 😭
☾ All this to say that they all (vamps, hybrids, witches) deserve that happy ending damn it! And I am so incredibly happy for those that did get the kind of love that Emery and August, Lily and Malcolm, Flor and Draven has ♡
☾ If you like books with fated mates, forbidden love, vampires, witches, wolves, and an epic battle against the Mistress this book is for you! ♡
P.S. We get to see a few POV from Sloane.
“Truth tastes foul to those who feast on lies.”
“There's being claimed by someone, possessed not because they've paid a price for you or because they have any right to you, but because they eat, sleep, drink, piss, and sigh your name. You're the air in the lungs giving them life, the taste on a tongue providing the only nourishment they'll ever need. The edge of everything they are, blurring cruelty with kindness. Hate with love. Their beginning and their end.”
SMC did not disappoint in delivering the scorching hot scenes that had me saying holy f**k.I NEVER EXPECTED THAT. I was merely in the book and Drazhan already gave me an idea of what he can do, what he has to offer. His so called “meditation”? 🥵. He lived up to it!
The Claw and The Crowned had me by its claws! I love the way this ended. Did my heart break? Of course it did, a few times at that. Did it fall irrevocably in love with Drazhan? YES, IT REALLY DID! Was it happy for Imryll? YES, IT WAS. I was so so happy to see that epilogue ♡
Drazhan. Drazhan is your mysterious, dark knight. Driven by vengeance for what the Rhiagains did to Witchwood Cross, to his family. Drazhan makes it his mission to destroy the crown, starting with Imryll.
Imryll. All she ever wanted was a life out of Duncarrow, she wanted freedom from all of it but fear was one thing that kept holding her back. Until one day, she met Drazhan.
“I see you. I know you. I love you.”
I absolutely love Drazhan and Imryll. Yes, they had a very complicated relationship from the very beginning (other than their slight age gap) which I honestly did not even noticed. It just made Drazhan that much sexier. Drazhan and Imryll blurred between hate and passion.
“I do love him, but it isn't enough.”
Torian. He deserved better. He deserved more than what he got. I was so so devastated for him. He really only truly loved Ryl and she loved him, she did, just not the way he loved her.
All this to say that I love this book and everyone should read it because you won't be disappointed. It had the perfect amount of spice, plot and everything in between ♡
❝ I think you will soon come to realize the heart does not care about misplaced hatred. Finding love, especially an epic love, is limitless. ❞❝ The war between selfish and selfless is the hardest battle to be fought. ❞
The Replacement follows two POVs: Emery and August. The bachelors meet paranormal with a little bit of murder mystery.
She was never meant to be a member of the Culling. He was never supposed to find his mate. Fate stepped in to ensure both. There was only one reason why the silver band of the Culling appeared on Emery's wrist, binding her to the vampire prince himself, her twin was dead. Emery was forced to leave the life she knew and compete for the heart of her enemy. Her goal was simple: keep her witch heritage a secret, find her sister's murderer, and DON'T FALL for the sinfully handsome prince while they worked together to find the culprit of her sister's murder.
Emery. I love her sarcasm, her dirty mouth, and how her personality shines. I am so happy that she was able to find friendship and family within the castle.
August. That man is 🔥. I love how possessive he gets, how much he adores his little sister, his love for his family, and his loyalty to his kingdom. He will give you the fucking world and wouldn't it be so amazing to be on the other end of that?
❝ She deserved the world. She deserved everything. He would be the one to give it to her. ❞❝ Forever in my heart. Forever in my veins. Forever on my lips. ❞
I love the chemistry between August and Emery. The tension between the two is palpable. But together? Together they were fire, they burn as one.
Malcolm.. Sweet, sweet Malcolm. He deserves the fucking world! He deserves happiness.
That ending. That ending hurts A LOT.
I love the vibe of the gothic murder mystery. I love all of the characters in their own way. Each had a story to tell even the side characters. What was side was finding out the motive behind the murder and who did it (I did not see that coming).
There were some twist that I saw coming while there some that I didn't. I'd have to say the most exciting part was towards the end with all the surprises.
I adore Death and Signa.
“Because there is no freedom without sacrifice, there is no reward without suffering.”“We are always a moment away from things we love being stripped away, but that doesn't mean we stop loving them.”
A Deal with Darkness is a story about how Valdihr came to be in A Night of Wings and Starlight, or at least leading to it. The book was set 200 years ago and can be read without reading ANoWaS. As someone who has read ANoWas, it was nice to see some Azriel because I love him.
The book follows Isoldra's POV, a total badass with all her fierceness and devotion. She will protect those she loves, even if it means dying. She is a character who knows herself; I love seeing her in action.
Haalarcus, Lord of Lost Souls, is also known as Haal or Issy's favorite Dark Lord. Can I say that I adored Haal and his devotion to Issy ♡ I love the interaction between Haal and Issy.
As for Evander, I admit he was a total judgemental prick, but I started liking his little quirks, so I hope he gets his own story.
Thank you, Alexis, for an eARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ♡
This is my first monster romance, and it DID NOT disappoint.
The Dragon's Bride was such a great introductory book in this genre. The book follows two POVs: Briar and Sol. I never thought I'd dig this genre, but Sol is a perfect dragon daddy. I also really LOVE Briar's character development and Sol's support towards his bride. Sol is so sweet and so gentle (well, except in the bedroom), which was fucking H-O-T.
Oh, and two peens!
“He was her weakness. He was her blessing. He was her Grace, and he would save her.”
Wow. That was quite an adventure, and what an ending. The revelations? HOLY CRAP. I did not see that coming for miles! I am happy that Cassia is set with what SHE wants, which is to be by her Grace. After discovering her ancestry, I cannot wait to see what becomes of her.
Seeing Mark's POV is always nice, and it was nice to see a glimpse of what was happening in Orthros. Seeing his devotion to his family and his circle. I love him and Lyros together.
I love the Ashes. I love Chuma. And Monsoon had quite a revelation.
Let's talk about Dak. WTF!? I would never have guessed that's what went through his head, and he BELIEVES IT.
I can't wait to see what the next chapter brings.
