This was really good!!! Actual enemies to lovers.
Rivals, secret relationship, MM, hockey romance.
The tension between them, and the spice? Chefs kiss.
Quinn is a hot head who acts before he thinks, and he thinks Oakley is a nepo baby who has control issues (kind of true).
Oakley is openly gay but usually keeps to himself.
Quinton believes in hockey superstitions so after a hookup at a party caused by competition and banter, they win a game so now they can't stop hooking up or they will lose their season.
The two start a secret hookup situationship, only hook up before games, nobody knows, and know falling in love.
Well that quickly went to shit and Oakley who loves control so much is losing it by how much he enjoys being with a Quinn.
This was really good!!! They say slow burn and maybe it is, but not really compared to queen MZ.
Marriage of convenience, between a broke chef and a man needing to get his inheritance.
The characters had depth and I loved them deeply. Jax has a grumpy exterior but it's a shield. He's a cinnamon roll on the inside just looking to be seen and loved without obligation.
After hearing his story and why he never wanted to return to his hometown, my heart broke for him.
But lucky Bianca is there. She is his friend. She stands up for him and doesn't take shit. She's what he needs !
I love this little town, and I looooove grumpy Duke.
He's a caregiver and always will be. He finds a problem and solves it, and is always there to help whether or not he's been asked. He cares deeply for his family and just shows up.
Duke and Sylvie have a secret friendship, as rival families. Both pine for the other, but enjoy their secret texting friendship.
Duke has a bad day and just needs to be with Sylvie. They have a secret beach date, and the steam cranks up to 11. Boom pregnant.
Watching Duke fall more in love with Sylvie as she grows with their baby, is so sweet. He says that he is a coward and doesn't share feelings but he does. Maybe not with words but with his actions. Eventually he tells her that he loves her and it makes me swoon. He's a softie romantic who loves his three legged dog I and an adopted duck.
The families are rivals but he finds a way to bridge the gap to call a mild truce for the sake of them and the baby. The pranks don't stop but they stay harmless without malice.
I wish we had more of their early budding relationship. And I wish we knew more about his cowboy era???
Ups and downs but overall enjoyed. 3.5/5
Opposites, pining, age gap.
Danner is a cop undercover working against HR's family rival MC. She is in that crowd because of her boyfriend, and eventually she teams up to help take the rival MC down.
It was kinky, it was dramatic, it was entertaining.
This universe is messy but a good time
So cute!!! I loved Luca.
Luca and Lauren have been enemies and in constant competition from high school. He surprises her by asking to be fake engaged.
Close proximity, and having to be in a fake relationship kind of shows how good of a boyfriend and how kind Luca is. Lauren just wanted someone to be her cheerleader, and support her, and she found that in Luca.
Cheesy? Yes but in a good way.
This felt so angsty, and I don't know if it even was? Or just my repressed high school feelings coming to light.
This is kind of a second chance romance, business partners to lovers.
Mauro and Maddie went to the same high school, but different circles. Now they both are bidding on the same house to flip. They decide to partner up, and do it 50/50 split.
Maddie had a crush on the football star senior, so being in close proximity to Mauro again brings up old feelings. She is clear she doesn't want to cross the professional line, but he's so kind and charming he becomes irresistible. He wants her all the same and regrets not knowing her all those years ago.
Maddie definitely wore her insecurities on her sleeve, but Mauro never really gave up on showing her he loved her no matter what.
I enjoyed this, it had a good amount of drama without being over the top. And the angst and spice was done well.
Enjoyed Cristian immensely. Vanessa I felt played Martyr and whined a lot.
I was hooked from the get go, and I love the Bianco brothers.
Vanessa obviously had a lot of insecurity and stuff to work through, kind of dealing with her mom's death from 20 years ago and how she was raised by her dad after that. She avoided the problems instead of like figuring her shit out
Cristian is a sweet middle child who caretakes everyone. Makes sure they are ok first. He's a sweetie and is just showing Vanessa he loves her but she is like um no too fast.
This is a cute (clean) small town standalone.
Bethany inherited her dad's coffee shop, and is in crazy debt. No and in sight.
Maverick is a business consultant and wants to help her shop turn a profit. He ends up wanting to save HER more than he wants to save the coffee shop.
He comes with new processes and ideas to help her find the problem areas.
Bethany also has surprises in her personal life when her half sisters unexpectedly show up and need her help.
It was heartfelt, a little emotional, and wholesome.
Really enjoying the Kincaid brothers!
Will is a rule following school principal, and can't help but banter with his frenemie.
Catie is very involved in the community and constantly butts heads with Will. She has a crush on him but can't help but be in his face, and email, about doing better for the community when he's resistant to her ideas.
Catie has fortress walls up, and once Will gets his head on straight that he has complicated feelings for her, he's patient. He shows up and shows her that he's there for her no matter what.
Super super cute
Amazing. The final book in the alliance series. I knew it was going to be 5 stars before I got halfway through.
Is Hans a bit of a stalker? Sure. But he does it to make sure Cassandra is safe!!! And he has good intentions so it's fine.
He was so obsessed with her it was hilarious and crazy. But Cassie was all for it once she learned who he was and what exactly he does for a living.
Mixed feelings but overall, really enjoyed. I was very hesitant to read because of the age gap. I love an age gap but this felt like it pushed the limits.
I loooooved Zeus. He was the perfect big and grumpy MC Prez. (If only he would speak properly but alas)
The relationship between him and Loulou was odd. It was a bit taboo even for me, especially since he knew her and wrote to her for so long...? Like since she was 7. But ya know it's fine we move past the red flags.
Loulou needed Zeus in a way you can't explain. Although unconventional. They make each other happy
I LOVED Mute. I wish we could have gotten to read his story, and I did infact sob at the way he left the series.
This was so good!!! Adam is a carefree and charming guy. But he doesn't believe in love.
Isla is starting over after a divorce, and never wants to get married again.
They used to work together in the arm, and unexpectedly run into each other years later. They catch up and reminisce. It's easy falling back into memories and the friendship.
They start a marriage of convenience so she can buy a bakery in his small town.
There's sparks but neither want to ruin their kinship and friendship.
Adam is so sweet. He loves her quietly but loud all the same. Handing out flyers and business cards without her knowing or asking. Just making sure she is safe... he is a wonderful husband to her.
Isla is shy but she deserves the best. And Adam is the best for her.
This was so good!!!
Owen's daughter is pregnant; and her midwife catches his eye. Neither can proceed with anything while she is still working with his daughter as a client - professionalism hello!!
Owen is a big walnut but has big feelings. He's a softie of a dad (and grandpa!!) but occasionally growls.
I really enjoyed this and it was written really well.
Pretty good! Tattoo shop owner with a motorcycle, and a BDSM kink. Meets clothing and lingerie store owner also with a Dom/sub BDSM kink.
Sierra has a traumatic past (not abuse - motorcycle accident) so she's hesitant to start a new relationship with a new Dom who has a bike
Austin has the Dom radar and can sense she's a sub personality. He's intrigued by her. Calls her legs in an affectionate way.
Austin and Sierra fall fast, but their pasts keep coming up and throwing down road blocks.
They have it in for each other and try to push away but will always come back to another. Super sweet and mildly spicy
Steamy smutty forbidden romance.
Age gap, dads best friend, daddy kink, forbidden secret romance
The spice in this was top notch.
The story was also good - between JP and Whitney. He is her god father and dad's best friend. They secretly hooked up for 2 years once she was 18, then he broke up with her for 3, came back, and they reunited with their second chance.
Super hot !
A forbidden student teacher MC romance.
I loved King. He was so present, and just there for Cress. He loved her as loudly as she could let him considering the circumstance. He never gave up on her even when she broke up and pushed him away.
She comes from a “good and pure” family. Married at 18 to an older man. Was groomed to be a Stepford housewife. So her being with King is a huge difference. She struggles to come to terms with the changes the new lifestyle brings.
It was okay. Not my fav MH but it had its moments.
Blair is starting over and ends up in Bellamy Creek. She pops a tire, hops a curb, and faints into Griffin's arms.
Dramatic entrance much??
Very much opposites. But these two have chemistry like there's no tomorrow.
It was a casual small town romance
