Someone Like You is a sweet and sexy friends to lovers, single parent story. It will pull at your heartstrings and leave you full of happiness.

This is Alexandra Silva at her best. The story is full of humour, chemistry, and angst. Dorian and Jake have been floating around each other for years but they're finally acknowledging their feelings, but with past hurts and present responsibilities can they overcome the obstacles to find the happy ending they both deserve?

Dorian is one kick-arse Female. She's a working single mother and doesn't take any crap. She's also intuitive, she's sees more than Jake shows the world and Jake, well, he's the funny guy that hides behind his humour and charm, but his feelings can't be hidden and watching them fight for their HEA is a pleasure. Their story is sweet, sexy, angsty, and full of swoons. Make this one of your must reads.

This is book three in a series of interconnected standalones. For the best reader experience I'd recommend reading For You first, it is a prequel for Dorian. Someone Like You is her HEA.

High Reward continues where High Risk left us, with that happy for now. And, spoiler alert! That changes and quite drastically.

Beautiful, angst-ridden, and emotional. This book will have you feeling ALL the emotions and swearing all the curse words, and swooning all the swoons. It is everything I could have hoped for and then some. One of the best books of 2018.

It's no secret that I love broken characters. The more they behave a-holeish the more I love them, and Ryan Tyler fits that bill perfectly. He was everything I loved. A character that I could equally love and hate...okay, hate's a little strong – I didn't hate him, I just wanted to punch him in the nads a few times. His brokeness was endearing, his inner turmoil and guilt really made it hard not to understand some of the decisions he made...even if I didn't agree with them. In his mind, he was doing the right thing and that is what made him so endearing. Gray is everything. This book really brought her character out of her shell and although I liked her before, I absolutely adore her now. She's a fighter who fought hard. She wasn't going to go away quietly to make things easy. Her strength was what got them both through some tough situations and that was a joy to read about. The chemistry between them was palpable. They were figuratively on fire and it was melt your kindles type of sexy. There is a scene that mirrors a scene in High Risk and it was just heartbreaking. Watching him finally ‘get it' and come to terms with his loss and admit to himself how he was feeling and that there was a problem just made the story come together perfectly. Mirroring the scenes was pure genius. I loved that detail so much. It really gave a nice feel of coming full circle for the characters. I loved that the characters didn't need saving, but were able to save themselves and have the support of the other. The epilogue was perfect. It was perfect for this couple. And exactly what they deserved. Because after everything they had been through they deserved some happiness.

I loved the character and story development throughout this duet. It gives you so much to connect with. So many threads to follow that it's beautiful. Heck, you even get a side romance. Plus, lots of breadcrumbs for future stories. I cannot wait for more. This is one of my favourite books of the year. Speaking of characters, Pari continued to be a favourite and her side-romance was a cute addition to the story. Noah...sigh, I still need his story ASAP. I had concerns about Keely and I have never been happier to be wrong. I loved her and I hope she gets a HEA – if not in a story of her own, then as a side-story in one of the other books.

If you've been hanging on until the duet was complete to dive in. Now is the time. If you've been hanging on because you are a fan of the Gaming the System series and the thought of a new series scares you – I get it, what if you don't like these new characters, right? Trust me. If you enjoy Brenna's writing, you will LOVE this duet. You still get the same attention to detail, you get the geeky goodness and pop culture references that you've become accustomed too. You get characters you can't help but have a reaction to – in every way. You'll want to bash heads, you'll fall in love. You'll curse all the curse words. You get the character and story development you're used to. YOU WILL SWOON! Oh, and you still get a little Adam & Mia too. What are you waiting for?

Fiona Cole is quickly becoming a one-click author for me. After reading Shame and Make it to the Altar last week and enjoying them so thoroughly, I figured why not? When I was tagged in the sign up for an ARC of Voyeur, however, I had my doubts as to whether I'd enjoy it as much. Maybe it was just Kevin and Ana that I loved so much, nothing could compete with them and maybe it was the author at the top of her game and anything else was downhill. Erm, yeah, that's not true. Fiona Cole's writing continues to captivate me in a way that is shocking and perfect. I literally (and I use that in the literal sense, not in the exaggerated sense) stayed up all night reading this book. I could not put it down. It made me swoon, it made me laugh, it made me tear up, and full out sob, it was everything I'd imagined and a million things I didn't. Fiona takes difficult subjects and embeds them so perfectly with the romance that you can't help but get lost and enamoured by the story. If I thought Kevin and Ana had carved a spot in my heart and soul, well, Oaklyn and Callum have made the hole bigger. Their story is beautiful and heartbreaking.

These characters have become embedded within my soul. I cried for them, I cheered for them, I swooned for them, and I got angry for them. I cannot help the connection I formed with them and I loved every second of it. Callum Pierce is the professor everybody wants; he's young, he's sexy, he's smart, and he's charming. He's a complete sweetheart with secrets, and a difficult past. The reveal will make your heart hurt. Oaklyn Derringer is a student on a mission; she will do whatever it takes to become successful, she's determined, she's independent, she's sweet, and she's smart. She's knows what she wants and isn't afraid to fight for it. The way this couple are together is beautiful. The understanding and acceptance is a big part of this story and makes the characters that much more likeable. It's angsty but not too much. It has the element of forbidden since their teacher-student relationship is frowned upon. The age gap isn't too big, it felt extremely realistic, as did the issues and feelings they faced. The sex scenes, my god, can FC write a super hot sex scene. It's enough to melt the kindle. They all fit well with the story and didn't feel misplaced or used to fill a void in the story. I loved the idea of the club, and it worked really well within the story. The progression of the relationship between Cal and Oak was timed perfectly and never felt rush, or drawn out. It was just everything!

Fiona Cole somehow managed to break my heart and piece it back together again. She broke me in the most beautiful way, and once again, I have this urge to get on my knees and thank her.

Fiona Cole just captures me with her words and I can't stop turning the page. Imagine Me was everything I hoped it would be based off the synopsis. It was fun and flirty and had an arsehole character that you cannot help but love. I loved Juliana and Shane's dynamic. Their banter was so fun. The brother's best friend aspect was wonderful and adding in the age gap - pure perfection.
I loved these characters so freaking much. Shane Daniels is an arsehole. BUT, the way he redeemed himself was pure perfection. I don't know how Juliana held out so long. I would have been putty in his hands. It was fun seeing his character develop and change. He started off scared, and who could blame him, Jack MacCabe is his best friend...his family, he doesn't want to lose that by sleeping with his little sister, but deep down it was obvious he was conflicted over his feelings for Juliana - case in point, repeatedly sleeping with her lol.
Juliana MacCabe is a woman on a mission. She wants to be independent and live her life, she doesn't want or need to be micromanaged. It's just a shame none of the men her life understand that. From her father to her brother to her ex, they all think they know what's best, and even though Shane tries to push her away by treating her like a child, she breaks through his walls and he's the only man to really respect her as a strong woman. I loved that Juliana made mistakes, but she owned them, and moved on. It didn't make her weak. She wasn't afraid to cry, but then picked herself up after and was the bad-ass bitch she is! I so want Jolene to have a book, and it was fun to see Evie and Jameson, and Luella and Jack again. Like a visit from an old friend.

Layla Hagen is an automatic one-click author for me. I just love her style. The way she writes and the types of stories she tells. They always leave me with a sense of relaxed happiness. They're so feelgood. And of course, sexy. They're stories with heart. You just can't help reading them in one sitting and wanting more. She's definitely a binge read type of author.

Meant for You is the third book in the Connor family series and it might be my favourite so far. It is an interconnected standalone – so it's up to the reader whether they want to dive right in, or start at the beginning. (Whispers...start at the beginning!) Will Connor is your typical alpha cop...but he also isn't, he knows when to back off and he's so sweet. He's always been the one to watch out for his family and he wants to do that for Paige too. Only problem, Paige can take care of herself and doesn't need an alpha all up in her business telling her what to do or think. I really loved Paige, I thought she was such a great character that could hold her own and really gave as good as she got with Will. Their relationship is super sweet – they're both from big families that they're close to and that showed and you could see that they were perfect for each other with the way they interacted with the families and never felt put out. The way Will was with his nephew was the sweetest thing. I could've had more of them and not been sad about it. So freaking sweet. The book contained the right amount of sexy time scenes and they fitted the couple and the book perfectly. The chemistry between the characters was fantastic and you could really feel it. I loved the banter between them – it gave their relationship that little something extra and I loved it.

I loved Jace. I want his story ASAP. I mean, the whole Connor family is awesome and I cannot wait to read about them all. But, in this book, Jace was featured a bit and I need to know more. Gimme gimme gimme.

Sebastian York and Andi Arndt were fabulous as usual. Sebastian was perfection as Will Connor- he really has that alpha cop act down pat. Andi, on the other hand, embodied Paige. The strong snarky woman who can hold her own...even against a sexy alpha. Their voices complement each other and it's not too jarring when the PoV changes. It makes for easy listening. It's becoming harder to say something different and original in their reviews especially when listening to them narrate books back-to-back like I am at present. But, it's also kinda fun to unintentionally binge listen to them. They should be on everyone's must-listen list. The production was fine, only one little proofing hiccup that I noticed and it's something that would've been easily missed and hey, maybe it's just me being weird. Who knows? Maybe I'm the one pronouncing it wrong, not Sebastian. (eek) It didn't take away from the story or the performance- it just made me do a sort of double-take and check.

Elizabeth Dyer became an automatic one-click author for me the moment she introduced me to Parker in Defenseless. She has this incredible way of balancing all the things I love and packaging in nicely in a book. Her heroines are sassy. Her heroes are high on the swoon-meter. There's emotion. There's fight. There's a storyline that will keep you glued to your Kindle screen...or earbuds. The twists are shocking. The Geek meter is high. Her prose is tight and suspenseful. She weaves it all together so seamlessly that the reader gets lost in the world she creates. I was captivated from the first chapter until the last. I pulled an all-nighter because I just couldn't bear to pull myself away from this story and these characters- I needed to know what was going to happen next. I laughed. I sat on the edge of my seat, and yes, I may have also shed a tear or two. I loved how the storyline came together. Little bits from the previous books weaved into it to make it all tie together. It was engaging and definitely keeps the reader guessing and enthralled. If Suspense is your jam...this is definitely a book for you.

If you've read Defenseless and Relentless you know of Will Bennett, now you get to really know him. A man of strength, a man of loyalty and a man of love. He's also broken. I loved that his brokenness wasn't hidden, it wasn't a little footnote. We saw his fight. His struggle. His ability to combat his demons. That really took this book up a notch for me, watching his struggles and how he overcame them. Cooper was an integral part of that. She was just as strong and had demons of her own. They never gave up on one another - of course, they didn't always go about it the right way, but they always had their reasons and the support they gave each other was perfection. It really enables the reader to identify and connect with the characters. Speaking of Cooper, wow, what a character. She has it all. She's smart. She's mega-skilled. She's willing to do what it takes. Her strength is astounding. I loved the loyalty she had to her friend and the lengths she was willing to go in order to save him. I hated that she was suffering, but, I loved that it made her and Will connect on such a deep level too, I don't think anyone could have helped him adjust as much as she did. Their chemistry was palpable. It poured from the page and was sweet and sexy. The banter between the two of them was perfection! I'm a huge banter fan and when it includes geeky references like this? Even better. It's a nice way to lighten the mood, especially with the seriousness of some of the scenes, but it wasn't too much that it took away from the scenes either. The perfect balance.

In this book we're introduced to new characters-that we need more of, not joking, I made a note early on to say that I wanted Pierce's story to find out that he's getting one. Yay!!! We also visit with friends from previous books. Including my guy, Parker, although Will gave him a run for his money. I guess we'll have to make it a trio now😉

This book is a standalone and can be read as such. However, personally, I'd suggest reading the other two books first as it gives you a good feel for the story and the characters. Will is mentioned in the previous books so seeing his full story ARC through others eyes and then his own...it was just all the things. Plus, there is one scene which had me laughing and crying (because I'm an emotional mess) even though I saw it coming...it just had to happen, it was too perfect for Elizabeth to miss that opportunity- but, I'd read Defenseless, if I hadn't I don't think it would have had the same impact. Go forth and read...no! Listen, Aiden Snow is superb.

Definitely a 5 star read. Bring on Breathless. I'm ready!

4.5 stars.

This is my first book by Dylan Allen and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked Dylan's writing - it was easy to read, it flowed really well and her world building was magnificent. She really captures the readers imagination and immerses them into the world she has created. I want to move to Rivers Wilde. I want to live there. I would never need to leave, they have everything.

I have to say, I loved the different characters that were introduced and their interactions. Sure there was one or two that I didn't like and wanted to punch in the nads. Confidence and Hayes were the perfect match for each other and I adored them. I definitely look forward to reading more in this world. So many awesome characters to know more about. Although Remi is at the top of my intrigued list. I adored Cass, she's the type of friend every girl needs, right?

The chemistry between Confidence and Hayes. It was palpable. You could feel it leaking off the pages it was that good. Their attraction was instant and the sex was off the charts hot. H-O-T! This is most definitely not a slow burn and features some super steamy scenes...including some backdoor action. Hayes is such a dirty talker and I loved that. The way they interacted and how their relationship progressed was fantastic and kept me turning the pages...long after I should have closed the book to sleep.

Have you ever come across a character that you just fell in love with - not their looks, not anything sexual, but their personality, their attitude, and beliefs? This book has one of those characters and I knew before I'd even finished that it didn't necessarily matter how it ended...a part of me didn't mind how it ended up, just as long as this character is happy because they're special and I knew I'd remember her long after I finished the book. And I was right as I'm still raving about her awesomeness over a week later. This world would be a much better place if more people were like Confidence Ryan. She's the definition of a queen in a world of princesses. I just adored Confidence. This girl, she just made me think. I loved her attitude and I loved that Hayes started to change not because she necessarily wanted him to change but because of her influence, him being with her and understanding her passion and her thought processes made him look at himself and want that change. It really made him think and do things differently. Seeing that change was great and it showed his character development throughout the book. His character developed the most, I feel. Although it was obvious he had some of these wants and desires deep down, he just never felt he could actually accomplish them...Confidence gave him the confidence to do it. She truly is her namesake. When we first meet Hayes I thought he was a really nice guy and assumed he'd be the ‘nice guy' you know the one - the sweet and sensitive and lovely hero that could do no wrong, but then, he turned into a first-class a-hole. The way he was, the way he spoke to Confidence and the things he said, my god, I wanted to kick him in the nads. I hated him. I kinda got frustrated on her behalf. There is then a scene right after where things truly go awry. I think it is one of the best scenes I've ever read. Ever. And here is why. Confidence truly believes she is going to die and yet she is still giving Hayes crap. She still tries to make him accountable. And that is Confidence, that scene sums her up to a T, I'm in danger, but, I'm going to put you in your place anyway. I need rescuing and I'm scared, but it's your fault so you better stay with me. I was laughing out loud, she was still giving him crap, and it makes him start to question what he believed about her and I just loved the way that played out.

After my initial ‘goddamnit I hate you Hayes' I thought he was lovely. He had some really sweet moments too. His compassion was really easy to see and understand. He's had a difficult upbringing - but a different type, to what most people would understand but you see him making amends for some of the bad decisions other people have made. You see him grovel - really grovel, and he tries to win his girl back. I like that it wasn't instant and that you got to see him actually make amends.

There are lots of things that happen to make you think, hmm, what's going on here. There is a twist which I figured out - I know some people don't like when you can work it out, but I actually love it. It means the author has done there job, they've dropped enough breadcrumbs for me to follow to get to the outcome. I love that. I know some people may have been shocked by it, which is great and then some people figure it out and that is awesome too. The fact we can all take something different from the same story and react differently to the same story is one of the reasons I love reading so much. I liked how everything came together in the end. I thought the ending was sweet and it really tied the book in a nice pretty bow, whilst leaving you wanting more.

The new cover, I just love it so much. It is Hayes and Confidence. The characters are bleeding through this image and it just gives me all the feels. Now, this? This is a book I would buy based on the cover. So yeah, totally love this new cover and I cannot wait to have it on my bookshelf.

For You is a story of young love and what happens when it all goes wrong. It's not your typical romance story and it will most definitely leave you wanting more.

Dorian Anson is such an awesome character that Alexandra Silva couldn't just write her HEA without writing her backstory first. Read all about Dorian's first love and how she came to be the kick-arse woman she is. It's a sweet, angsty story will some sexiness and heartbreak.

This is a prequel to Someone Like You. It can be read as a standalone but for the best reader experience I'd recommend reading Someone Like You straight after. It is not your typical romance book. Grab both today. And don't forget Jamie and Quincy's story too.

Do you like A-hole characters? Do you like books that hit you in the gut? Do you like having your heart ripped from your chest and then pieced back together again? Yes? Then this is the book for you. The book deals with some very difficult situations and ultimately it's a book about saving and forgiving yourself. It's a book about realising that you have to do that in order to keep living and providing for the people in your life. Admitting to yourself about how you feel and letting the guilt go, allowing yourself to grieve. I thought it was handled beautifully. It's raw, and hard to read at times. But, ultimately it's uplifting and healing.

These characters are amazing, not necessarily amazing in the sense that I loved them the whole time, but in the sense that they made me react. Not always in a positive way, but that's okay. I'm intrigued by Preston, and I shall be diving into his story next, I'm on the fence about Evie - so we'll see how that goes.
Jace is an a-hole. First class a-hole. The things he says and does are just ball-punch worthy, but, the guy is grieving and guilt-ridden, so although I don't excuse his behaviour, I can understand it to an extent. He was so broken. As the book progresses he improves, you can see him falling for Sydney and in essence, his kids...it was like they were rediscovering themselves as a family and that was beautiful to experience. Of course, just when you think he's getting to good guy territory he goes and says something that makes you gasp and consider throwing your kindle. He comes good, in the end, he seeks help from the people that matter to him...the people that had always wanted to help, but he never let. I can understand why some people would have issues with certain things he does and says, but, it's so obvious that it's the guilt talking that I was able to forgive him.
I struggled with Sydney to begin with. She was a little too much of a fixer, to the point where she was pushing herself onto Jace and his family, saying and doing things that she really didn't have any right to. But, as time went on I did start to understand her more and become more attached to her. I did get a little frustrated that she didn't tell Jace about her ex and what he was doing, especially when the opportunity arose. I also felt for her, she was always picking the wrong guys and that stemmed from her childhood, and knowing the type of guys she'd been with in the past, I just wanted her to be happy. I wanted to shake her a few times, but again, she came good when she stood up and made the decision to do the right thing for her and basically say, ‘you know what, I'm worth more than this, I deserve better.'
Logan and Avery are just the sweetest kids, they've experienced such a huge loss in their lives and it was almost like they'd lost both their parents because Jace was so withdrawn from them, I mean, he still ensured they had someone, but it wasn't him, and they felt that, so getting to see them opening up to Sydney and doing fun things together was heartwarming.
I liked that Jace and Sydney's relationship was built on friendship and it was that friendship that started to break through Jace's grief and guilt to make him look at his life and his decisions and start making better ones. The connection they had was palpable and the sexy times were off the charts sexy. I need to check my Kindle for scorch marks. I loved that this was not just about Jace and Sydney, but also the children, they played a big part in their relationship and the healing process, for so long Jace had pushed them away because he didn't think they needed him, that he felt he was the reason their mother was gone, and watching him slowly start to do more with them, and reconnect as a family, well, it was beautiful.

This is the first book I've read by Ava Harrison. It definitely won't be my last. Ava's writing is phenomenal - it is gut-wrenching, emotional, and raw. She destroyed my heart and slowly and surely mended it. It did take me a little while to get into the swing of it, there was a bit too much repetition for my liking at the beginning, (I think it was mentioned three times about Sydney's ex and why he's her ex,) but, once I got hooked, I was hooked hard and nothing could pull me away. I was captivated by these characters and this story. I had guessed one of the plot turns, and I knew the reactions to it were going to be bad...but, OMG, I never expected it to be that bad, I actually gasped. One of the best books I've read this year. I switched between the eBook and the audiobook, which isn't something I do often and it actually worked really well, I listened more than I read. Sebastian York and Grace Grant were wonderful as Jace and Sydney. More about the narration later on. Single parent is one of my favourite type of stories and this one has blown almost all of the others out of the water. The angst and feels just captured my heart and wouldn't let go. This cover, oh my word. You can keep all your shirtless guy covers, this right here is where it is at. This is what gets my attention, this is what hits my sexy radar. I looked into this book because of the cover. And, after finishing the book - it IS Jace. 1000%. This is a standalone, however, I personally feel readers would benefit greatly from reading Transference first. Not because Absolution doesn't stand on its own, but because they interconnect, I'm about to start Transference and I know part of what happens and I think it takes away the guesswork, and I love the experience of reading a book for the first time and trying to figure what's happening, what is going to happen, and if they're going to get a HEA. But, of course, that is just personal taste.

I thought this audiobook was perfectly cast, Sebastian York was Jace. I think it's the best performance I've ever listened to him do - of course, I've not listened to them all. His voice was deep and rather gruff...not how I'd normally describe him. The emotion he conveyed was astounding, you felt the pain the character was experiencing bleeding through the earbuds. The character and the performance were the three S's - sexy, sweet, and swoony. Don't get me wrong, the character is an A-Hole, but, he has sweet moments. He really does nail the single father aspects and his child's voice is never over-compensating. Grace Grant was fantastic as Sydney too, she really gave that character life. It's amazing how each emotion Sydney felt was conveyed in the tone Grace used...you believed that she was hurt, or unsure, or happy. It's amazing to have that come through, not in words, but in tone and for the listener to be immersed. Grace is always so skilled at that.
Grace and Sebastian's voices blended really well together in this book. Their performances mixed with Ava Harrison's words at times brought tears to my eyes. They really nailed this story and these broken characters...they breathed life into them. It was wonderful to listen to and one of the best audiobooks of 2018.
I enjoyed the production and didn't notice any issues. I'm still getting used to not having the chapter PoV said at each chapter announcement...which is especially jarring when you're switching between reading and listening, but that is just a personal thing and I'm sure the more I listen to books that are like it, and it appears that it's being done that way more and more, the more I'll get used to it.

Fiona Cole never ceases to impress me with her stories and how she masterfully portrays them. Her writing is fresh and original and screams to be read and read again. Lovers was no different, you think going in that you know what it's about and how it's going to go down...but, it turns itself around and surprises you with the turns it takes. Definitely not your typical MMF story. The happily ever after isn't easy, it's a war that will leave you exhausted after each battle. And that's what makes the end so wonderful. Knowing what these characters have endured to get to their HEA. When I first read Voyeur and met Jackson, I knew he was someone special and I was incredibly excited when I found out he was getting his own story, Fiona didn't disappoint. The steam level is off the charts. I'm talking fist biting, panty exploding sexy. Seriously, I think my scale is broken - it was hotter than hot and it fit so perfectly with the story and the characters that I never once questioned a scene. Each one had a point and progressed the story. The chemistry was jumping out from the page, grabbing me and engrossing me in their story. These characters had me laughing...a lot, the banter is spot on, and , we all know I'm a huge banter fan. The emotion had me getting a little choked up on a number of occasions. The struggles they experience especially Jake, was almost palpable and had me sitting back and shaking your head and having an understanding that I wish I didn't, because I wanted to dislike him...just a little, but, it's just not possible. My heart broke for Jackson, Jake, and Carina at different times, the raw vulnerability that they showed really hits you in the gut.
I feel that Fiona took this storyline in a different direction than what is expected and I loved that. I love that she didn't take the easy route to get the HEA, she made them work for it. Carina's father deserved a throat-punch whilst being kicked in the balls - I'm disappointed that didn't happen, but, we can't have everything!
To give you an idea of how much I loved this book, I stayed up until 4am to finish it, and when my baby woke me at 7.30am, I picked the book back up and started it again. I've added it to my list of 2018 favourite books. Definitely one to add to your must read shelf.

When I heard Brenna Aubrey was not only working on a new book but a new series, I got a tad excited. I love her words so much. She always brings the feels with a fantastic amount of geeky goodness - my favourite thing. When I heard the story was going to be about an astronaut I thought, ‘whoa, okay, this is different. Different from what I've read from her in the past, and different from anything I've really read.' Brenna does not disappoint, and although this is a duet, the book ends on a happy for now. So, I wasn't kicking and screaming that I have to wait two months for the next book. This book is written beautifully, I can totally understand the need for a duet, I don't think one book would have done this story and this couple justice. Having it split over two gave the story time to develop organically and I just love that. And, I'm not usually a duet fan - mainly because they're usually the size of one book split into two, not the case here, this is a full length, in fact, it's almost double the size of some full length novels so you're definitely getting your money's worth with this bad boy.

The characters are always an integral part of the story and they really are an interesting mix. They had me cursing, and swooning, and laughing. Maybe, some throat punching too. Commander Ryan Tyler has had it rough the past year, so his behaviour is understandable, he's hurting, and he's trying his best to keep a promise he made, he'll do whatever it takes. I don't think he ever envisioned Gray, but, she's just what he needs. He's a cocky arse and I just adore him because he's really a sweet guy. He cares and his pain is palpable. I may have shed a tear or two for him. I was also swooning hard for this guy. His term of endearment for Gray was pure perfection.
When we first met Gray Barrett I have to admit I wasn't her biggest fan, she says something that had me sitting up and saying, ‘what the heck? Hell no, she did not!' However, not long after, I warmed to her and by the end, I was in love with this girl. She is smart and funny, and charming, no wonder Ryan falls for her. Heck, I was falling with him. She's incredibly strong - I should have known, Brenna is the queen of strong heroines. I was definitely kept guessing about her past for a while there. Their chemistry is explosive. You could almost feel the sexual tension leaking off the page. And when they finally give in to their desire? Oh. My. Word. Talk about out of this world. It was Kindle melting hot. There is one character that I disliked from the beginning, and by the end, I actually hated him, the things he said, no freaking way, I don't care about his reasons, not cool. I wanted to punch him in the throat. I loved Gray and Pari's friendship, it was fun yet sweet. When we were first introduced to Keely, I thought I was going to dislike her, but, actually, she seemed nice - but, whether that changes in book two remains to be seen. Ryan's teammates are interesting and I'm hoping they each get stories too. I may have my eye on Noah.

One of the things I loved about this book was the space aspect, you can tell that the author has a passion for the subject and did the research and it stands out. The fact that the details were explained, but not overly so was perfect. It's difficult to find that balance, but, I think Brenna does a stunning job of it. I am going to be all over this series. I need ALL the stories. Brenna never ceases to amaze me with her skill for drawing the reader in and submerging them in the world she has created. Making them fall for characters and even change their mind about them. This is a book not to be missed. Make sure you pick up your copy asap.

I really enjoyed this book. It is Kendall Ryan at her best. Every book I read from Kendall is classed as my favourite, because there is just something about them that pulls me in - it's the writing, of course, she just nails every trope she writes and she writes it so well that the reader...or in this case, listener, gets lost in the fantasy of the story. This is how a friends to lovers story should be tackled. Actually seeing the friendship, believing the friendship and watching that blossom to something else is perfection and exactly what I want from this trope. I need that build-up, I need those thoughts of uncertainty because what about the friendship? And Kendall delivers...big time. I just wish it was a little bit longer, but that's mainly because I loved Natalie and Cam so much.

This was such a cute, fun story. It has very little angst - I love angst as much as the next girl, but, sometimes, I like things smooth and easy...but not too easy. I think Kendall got the balance just right with this book. Cam and Natalie are such a cute couple, Cam is all the swoons, seriously, he was sweet and sexy and caring, he was the type of guy everyone wishes they had as a friend. Natalie, on the other hand, was sassy, yet sweet. I just loved them both so much. I loved how they tried to fight the attraction and it took them a while to figure out that they had feelings for each other. And how deep those feelings ran. Then the difficulties of navigating a friendship and relationship, especially since their friendship included a third. The friendship between Jack, Cam, and Nat was so great - the way they all interacted was lovely and it was clear they'd been friends for a long time and were comfortable with each other. Jack's reaction to the reveal about Nat and Cam's relationship change was brilliant, I'm really glad Kendall decided to go that way. If you're wondering about the sexy times, don't worry, Kendall wouldn't leave you hanging like that...and neither would I, the sexy times are, well, sexy, they'll leave you wanting more and maybe in need of a fan. They fit with the story and aren't overly done. Just the right amount of hotness. The epilogue was wonderful - everything I could have asked for - the rings though! (Insert heart eyes and tears here!)

Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber are fan favourites and for good reason. They always deliver fantastic performances and nail the emotion of the situation and make the characters and scenarios believable, this book was no different. They were Cam and Natalie for me, without a doubt. I believed that they were friends that developed feelings for each other. The thing with Zachary is that his voice carries a lot of emotion and that shines through in his performances. He's one of my go-to's for an emotional connection to characters. Andi is just fabulous no matter what, she is always on point and I just love every performance I've heard from her. Books like these are good reminders as to why these narrators are so sought after and why they're so loved. I loved every second that I listened to. This book was such a joy to listen to and I think it was casted perfectly. I didn't note and production issues, it was a clear, smooth recording.

Extra note: This book is a little on the short side and feels more like a novella than a full novel, however, I am seeing a trend at the moment for books that are on the shorter side, so it's not really a criticism but a note for other listeners who may be expecting the book to be longer than it is. This one is just over 4 hours long. The remaining time is made up of the first chapter of Dear Jane narrated by Andi Arndt which is coming to Audible soon, and a sample of Love Machine which is available to buy now, narrated by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York.

I just got done with this book and I have to say I really enjoyed it. It's hard to believe this is Meagan Brandy's first book - watch for this name, she's going to take the book world by storm - having just read her third book and been blown away, I know this to be true. She makes her characters work darn hard for their HEA. Which, personally, I love. I'm a big fan of NA romances and this can be added to the list of must reads. It's raw, it's sweet, it's bloody sexy, it's real, and it's emotional. A wonderful mix that will keep you turning the page.

I didn't really like Kalani to begin with, but, as the book progressed and you could see and feel her change and open up, and feel, I changed my mind. I think it's easy to forget how young these characters really are, and what she was dealing with, well, it makes sense that she was so closed off. I ended up rooting and cheering for her. Even crying for her. The development of her character throughout the book was astounding. The side characters are something special - I want each of them to have a book, well, maybe not Liv. She can burn in hell. Jarrod? Hmm, maybe the right woman could redeem him...no? But, my boy, Parker has a book next and I already have it queued up. You may notice that I've failed to mention Nate so far, you know what they say, save the best till last, and this boy...man, he is the best. I just loved him so much. He's your typical playboy, but he's also not. I adored him. I wanted to slap him upside the head a couple of times, but overall, I just loved him. He was sweet and he not only understood Kalani, but in essence, he saved her. And it was beautiful.

Make sure you have a fan ready for the sexy times, because, hot doesn't even begin to describe those scenes. My Kindle might have scorch marks, I have to check. If it doesn't, it's a darn miracle. Who knew teenagers could be so sexy? The best part though? That they fit perfectly with the story and the characters, you believed it. It was very real.

I enjoyed CJ Bloom's performance, I think she nailed Kalani. You could feel the uncertainty of the character shine through in the performance. And I thought she performed the growth of the character really well. It was a joy to listen to. This was my first time listening to Alexander Cendese and I have to be honest, I wasn't a fan of his female voice...at all. I found myself wondering if I should switch to the book and read the parts he was narrating, but, I actually liked his voice for Nate and thought he did a great job of showing the different emotions the character was experiencing. I think had this been a duet, or even an MM book his voice would have been suited fine, but, I just couldn't get along with the female voice - it just doesn't suit his range. The production was fine with no issues of note.

Sometimes you hear about a book and everything you hear makes you want to read that book – even putting books you have on hold for it. This was one of those books, and let me tell you, everything you've heard...every preparation you've made...it will not be enough to prepare you for the rollercoaster ride that is this book. It's astounding how many twists and turns it has. I laughed, I cursed, I shed some tears, and I swooned. This is the first Meagan Brandy book I've read, I have the others, and I can assure you I'm going to be diving into them because I loved this book so much – it made me react, and I love that. Her writing is wonderful, it's captivating and just drags you kicking and screaming into the world of Blaze and you can't help but fall in love with it. It made me think, it made me mad, it made me swoon, and fall in love. I don't know how I didn't know about her until recently, but I am super glad I found her and cannot wait for more of her words. I read the book in two sittings, and only because with a new baby in the house mama was exhausted – trust me, if I could have stayed awake this book would have been finished in one sitting – it is that hard to put down.

I loved these characters. Trick, Havannah, and Rowan are going to need stories and stat. They were each an interesting addition to the story and really helped to shape the relationship, in their own ways. Alec Daniels, sigh! Swoon! He will make you swoon so hard, he'll also make you so mad that you'll want to throat punch him, whilst kicking him in the nads and throw your Kindle. If you like alpha-arsehole characters, he is your guy. By your, I mean, MINE! He is everything. He does things that will drive you half insane, but, when you find out why it'll all make sense and you'll realise how sweet he truly is. And he'll say things that will make you MELT. Honestly. Oakley Rivera is totally kick-arse, she's strong, she's brave – everything her father knew she could be. I love that although she doesn't have a clue what is going on and the two people that seem to know are cryptic beyond belief, she still manages to handle herself and take care of things. I totally wanna be her friend.

So, when you're not wanting to throw your Kindle, it's probably going to be on fire, because the heat coming from it is going to make it combust. I'm talking OMG type scenes. Get a fan in place, for when you need to cool down – and you will need to. Several of the twists had me asking what the F*** I was reading. Some I figured out, as is the way, but, that doesn't detract from the awesome story, and some really are shocking. I loved that we got to see Alec and Oakley as kids and how their non-friendship started and progressed. It gave a bit of an insight and development that continued through the story. I think doing the book from mainly Oakley's point of view made sense and built the tension because had we known what was in Alec's head, for sure we'd have forgiven him a lot sooner – but, it wouldn't have been as fun. Yeah, fun, erm, let's go with that. (read: all the emotions)

Lauren Blakely has written a beautiful, raw, gut-wrenching and heartfelt story that will have you applauding and begging for more like it. This is so different from anything I've read from Lauren before and it's amazing. She needs to do more!

I love a second chance romance, it's my jam. This book hit the spot and then some. It's angsty, which I loved. I swooned in parts. I laughed – the banter was funny and was definitely needed with the theme of this book, it lifted the spirits whilst still being sensitive to the subject. This isn't just a story of lost and found love, it's a story off loss, and grief, and moving on without the people you love most. It's not an easy listen at all.

I loved that Holland was a strong woman that wanted to help Andrew through his grief but wasn't prepared to be his crutch. She fought her own wants and desires so that if and when they were a couple it was going to be for the right reasons. Andrew is such a complex character, he is a slave to his grief and it was making him a person even he wasn't fond of, his character development through this story was fantastic to experience. Seeing how he came to terms with things that happened and how he'd been. It was beautiful. I love when letters are included in stories and I thought these were a wonderful touch to an already brilliant story.

Joe Arden and Erin Mallon were absolutely amazing. The rawness of the performances in this book really makes it stand out. If this audiobook does not win an award, then nothing deserves to. Honest to goodness, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

Joe Arden has completely blown me away with his performance. It was gritty, it was raw, it was spectacular. I felt every bit of grief and emotion that he put into the performance. I don't think I've EVER been so mesmerised while listening...and I listen to a heck of a lot. I have never heard Joe like this, saying he nailed the character of Andrew is an understatement, he WAS Andrew. I openly cried whilst I was listening, not just from the words, but the emotion that was conveyed. The heartache and grief shone through. It gave me all the feels. I think it's safe to say Joe gave his all with this book and it shows.

Erin Mallon is always wonderful, this performance is no different, although she only narrates a handful of chapters – her tone, her way of conveying emotion is so spot on. It makes you feel it all. It makes my ears happy whenever I see her name attached to a project.

I adore that the audio had the messages performed in the voice of the sender, this is becoming a regular thing in Lauren's audios and I love it. The production was great with no issues that I noted.

The Start of Us plays at the end of Unbreak My Heart and it's performed by Joe and Erin and is a great little novella. Cute and sexy. It leads into The Thrill of Us which is available everywhere now.

Ella Fields has done it again. I'm totally at a loss for words. I thought I knew what I was getting into with this book, but I didn't. I adored a second chance romance - but this? Sheesh! It broke my heart and, thankfully, slowly pieced it back together again.

Ella writes the best characters. The relationship between Felix and Ella was beautiful, real, and raw. I couldn't help but feel everything. Every heartache. Every cruel word. Every swoon. Every thing! Felix made me swoon, he made me want to kick him in the nads, and he made me swoon again. So much love for that man. He made mistakes and he owned them. But, no matter how much he tried, he couldn't stop loving his little doe. Maggie, goddamn, that girl...that woman. Steel in her veins, I tell ya. I loved her so damn much. What she went through in the book is heartbreaking. Her character development was astounding and this was very much her story, for me. I loved watching her grow from a naive girl, to a strong woman. Archie, be still my heart, cutest baby ever! I adored Jake and Warren, what they did for Maggie was amazing and I love them for it. I gotta say that I disliked her parents so much, but, her mother did come through in the end - but, I found it hard to care after what she let Maggie deal with alone. Sam, I hate her with everything in my being - she came across so lovely, but I knew she was dodgy. I hate being right, sheesh, why?
The chemistry between Maggie and Felix was there from the get-go and it never left. I adored their connection. It was sweet, and sexy, and everything you could possibly want in a book. The pet names they used just made it all the better ‘little doe' swoon.

I loved that we got to see Jared and later a little sneak at Jared and Vera's HEA, it was such a cute addition.

Ella writes books I like to read. She breaks me, and then she fixes me write up and I'm better for it. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself now I've read all her words. I need more!

By now it's no secret that I adore Layla Hagen's writing. Whenever I'm in the mood for a sweet romance, she is my go-to author. Her books fill me with happiness. They have such a wonderful balance of humour, swoon-worthy romance, family, and a tiny bit of conflict. Everything a girl needs to get lost in the story. Layla writes so beautifully that you become invested in the characters' lives and once you start you don't want to stop reading...or listening, until it's finished. But, once it's finished you're itching for more. Will Connor, gimme Will's book. That protective big brother cop routine already has me swooning. He's going to fall so hard and I'm ready. Please, Layla, don't make me wait!

These characters are just everything. I adore them. If you've read the first Connors book, Anything for You, you'll know Lori Connor is a single mother. Now, single parent stories are my kryptonite, (okay, okay, so I have lots of kryptonite issues, just go with it.) so I was really looking forward to Lori's story and wondered how that would play out. Was she going to be resistant and against all men because she was wronged, or was she going to be open for anyone, etc? So many questions. I loved that she is a strong, independent woman. She's so used to doing things herself – taking care of her son, Milo, and running a successful business. And that doesn't change throughout the book, she's still that same woman at the end – now she just has a partner in life too. I loved, loved, loved that. Graham Frazier, the big bad owner of the soccer (yeah, yeah, I'm British and I can still call it soccer – it's okay!) team that Lori's brother plays for. He's rich, he's jaded after a divorce, and he's sweet and sexy – really, what is there not to like? No wonder Lori fell hard for him. I fell too, add in how he was with Milo and it was swoon-central. Is there anything more swoony than a sexy man spending time and caring for a child? I loved that he took Lori and Milo as a package deal, right from the get-go. He didn't need time to adjust, he didn't need countless dates to work up to it – he was all in. The way he couldn't say no to him was the sweetest thing. Then add in the scenes with Jeff and BAM! I was a goner – gone for Graham. My heart melted in a puddle at my feet. Then we have sweet, charming, cheeky Milo – I wanted to wrap that kid in my arms and give him a big squeeze. So sweet. I had such an emotional connection to the characters and I loved that.

The chemistry between Lori and Graham was there from the first meeting and it was charming. It was almost palpable, and I loved that they didn't really try to fight it. I think they were both ready for a relationship and they didn't realise that until they met each other. They acknowledged that connection and did something about it. It was such a nice change of pace from other books. The heat level when these two got together was pretty steaming. Although the little drama that was in the book could have been dragged out – it wasn't. It was understandably a part of their story, but it was never the focal point and both Lori and Graham worked to get it resolved quickly. The family aspect of this book... this series is always a big draw for me and that didn't disappoint.

Andi Arndt and Sebastian York performed this book perfectly. I thought they were superb as Lori and Graham. And Milo – oh heck, ok, so Sebastian narrating as a seven-year-old child is the cutest thing – there! I said it! Don't hold that against me. Andi has such a great range that it really is just such a pleasure to listen to her – every time. Nobody can deny the talent this duo has, and their voices complement each other really well. I thought the production was great, no real issues. The only thing and it was just something I noticed and it's the first time I've had it happen (or the first time I've noticed it) - after the first two alternate PoV chapters for the remainder of the book each chapter doesn't announce which PoV it is – it's obvious due to who is narrating that chapter, but, it took a while for me to adjust to it. Especially in the two chapters that contained both PoV – at first, I thought they had switched to duet style narration. This isn't me being negative, just pointing out something I noticed for those that might do a double-take as they listen.

TINY SPOILER AHEAD. KEEP SCROLLING IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE IT. It's only a spoiler if you've read my reviews of the Bennett Family series.

*Side-note: I was so freaking happy to see my favourite Bennett make an appearance. Swoon. I may have squee'd while walking down the street. What? I just love him so much. It was a small scene, but it just made my day. It was a super cute scene. I love that the Bennetts are mentioned and showing up, just like the Connors did in the Bennett series.

I have to say that when I first heard about this book I was over the moon excited. I love that this book was more about the relationship between the three characters and less about the sex, although, there is plenty of that too. It's been described as MMF, however, personally I'd describe it as MFM with some MM scenes, as to my knowledge, and I'd remember if it had happened, there were no scenes that included MM with the female present and I would've loved that to be included to see how their dynamic changed in the bedroom. This isn't a complaint merely an observation. Ok, honestly, I wanted some MMF in my life – I think Lola Leighton would do a marvelous job with it, she knows how to balance sexy and emotions. Chapter 27 is on FIRE, I'm sure some of it was used in a FB bedtime read post at one point...or, maybe I just wish it was. It definitely felt familiar...maybe I imagined them to life? Either way, it was the sexiest scene.

The dynamic of this relationship is really what this book is about and I love that it focuses on that. Although this book is super sexy, the sex scenes don't drown out the story. It is emotional at times, humorous, and sweet. I loved the chemistry between the three of them and thought it was palpable from early on. I adored that it came across as more of a real-life relationship, rather than just fiction, you could imagine the issues they faced and how people would react and how they would deal with that.

The characters in this story are wonderful. I loved Will, Sullivan, and Adrienne (for the most part, more about that in a moment). Let's talk about these characters. First, we have Will, who is more the strong and silent one. He's so gentle with Adrienne that it's the sweetest thing to observe. Add in his clear feelings for Sully and I was smitten. I wish we had more chapters from his PoV, as it felt more like Sullivan and Adrienne's story with a few Will chapters thrown in for good measure. A lot of changes happened for him, I would have liked to spend more time in his head and seeing how he handled the transition. Then we have Sullivan, he's more the laid-back, funny, and knows what he wants, guy. His attraction to Adrienne was instant and pairing that with his obvious attraction to Will just had me swooning. I loved that we got so much from his PoV. He's such a sweetheart. Lastly, we have Adrienne. She's sweet, sassy, and doesn't take any crap. I loved her for the most part until chapter 25 – I hated the way she reacted to her family and the way she treated the men she claimed to love. I felt she needed to earn back their trust, instead of them winning her back. I even had to stop listening for a minute because I was so wound up about it, then, I loved her again, once things got sorted. I still say she should have groveled some.

I do wish the book was a little longer. I felt some parts needed to be extended, and some needed to be included. For example, when the guys are trying to win Adrienne back, they have a discussion with her family, I'd have liked for that to be included so we could see the change in her parents, know what actually won them over since they were so against it. Rather than just, we've spoken to them and they're ok with it now. The only other thing was that I wasn't always sure how much time had passed, it felt like it occasionally jumped from one scene to another rather than a smooth transition. With that being said, I really enjoyed the book and would definitely listen to it again, and listen to more from Lola.

The narrators were absolutely wonderful. The casting was great, I do feel like Jacob Morgan was more suited to the character of Will, and Jason Clarke to Sullivan, but, that's just my thoughts. Nobody said I wasn't a picky listener. They did a fantastic job regardless. Ava Erickson was pure perfection as Adrienne, her voice has the sweet quality that I felt was necessary for the character. Throughout the book she really killed it, she embodied the character so well. I thought chapter 27 was performed brilliantly by Jacob Morgan, he nailed the emotion, insecurity, and sexiness of the scene...and the book, really. And, Jason Clarke's performance was captivating, even though it's only a small portion of the book. All three of the narrators complemented each other. The production was great with no issues of note.

Love Machine was such a cute, flirty, and sexy story. It really filled my heart with joy as I listened to it. The characters are so much fun to spend time with. Slate is charming and sexy, and oh so swoonable. Whereas Keaton is sassy, nerdy, and charming in her own right. I loved the dynamic between them, the chemistry was off the charts. Kendall always writes books that touch your heart and fill you with joy.

Sebastian York and Andi Arndt were fabulous as always, although I'm not sure about that accent Sebastian used for Mira - left a little to be desired, but, that was something tiny and it doesn't take away from the rest of his performance. They both delivered the emotional aspects of the story flawlessly as well as the humour. You can't go wrong with a Arndt/York narration. The production was great with no issues for Love Machine. At the end of LM is a sneak peek at Finding Alexei - firstly, Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke are the bomb! I did not want it to end and I desperately want to know what happens next. I am already half in love with Alex. I feel, and this is just my personal view, that a longer pause should have been had been the end of LM and the beginning of FA - or at least an announcement that a sneak peek was going to play next. Just so people knew what they were listening to. Regardless, it was a nice inclusion for us audiophiles and I think it definitely whet our appetites for more.

This was a cute, emotional at times, and endearing book. I have to say that I was looking forward to this book since I enjoyed the first book in the series so much. I liked it, a lot, although I felt it dragged a little. However, I had genuine tears...actually, tears is too calm a word, I sobbed at one scene in the book, and for that, it just made the book for me. The writing, the delivery, it was just perfection and anything that can move me that way gets a huge thumbs up and extra star from me. The chemistry between the characters was palpable and I loved the single parent aspect. I thought it was written really well.

John Lane is a wonderful narrator and he continued to prove that in his performance, his voices are distinct, so you always know who each character is. He makes a great child...and female. He has a nice tone, and his inflections are great. The emotional aspects of the book are where he excelled, he just drew me into the scene and it was wonderful.

I've sat at my laptop five times...and countless hours trying to find a way to write a review that will do this book justice, and I just can't. It's amazing. My favourite read of 2018.

It's official! Ella Fields is a soul-crushing, heart destroying wench, and I love her for it! She's never afraid to take the road less traveled and doesn't shy away from subjects. She makes her characters work for their HEA, which makes me fall in love with them even more. I will literally read anything this amazing author writes...she's never going to get rid of me now.

When I first read Suddenly Forbidden, I was blown away, it was so wonderfully written, and I took a liking to Callum; he was sweet, and charming, and someone you wanted to have a HEA. I thought, this is my guy. Claimed him, licked him, whatever...mine! In fact, I think I may have even said in my review that I wanted him to have a book, and here we are. Then, of course, we got Bittersweet Always, which was wonderful, Toby is, sigh, you know, that book... each book in this series has been so special for different reasons. I think with BA it was the subject matter, it's something that still isn't talked about enough and I think including that Ella did something pretty fantastic and special. So, it was gonna be a hard act to follow with Pretty Venom, sigh, she nailed it. Seriously, I am absolutely amazed. I don't think I've swore so much at a book... at characters, in my life and that is saying something because I swear A LOT. It's enemies to lovers and then goes into second chance romance...maybe, and gah, the thing with this book is that Callum is...he's an a-hole. He's right up there, a-hole, mega a-hole material. The a-hole that you love to hate. Then he's the most sweetest, swooniest hero and I was like, OMG, I just love him so much. Is this the same person, yes, of course it is, he's been redeemed, it's marvelous, and then the $hit hits the fan and he's like, ‘oh, you thought I was an a-hole before? Well guess what? I'm gonna prove you wrong! I'm gonna be an even bigger a-hole' And he was a total dick. TOTAL! I was so mad, I swore, I shouted, I wanted to throw my Kindle. I was so aggravated with him...but, that's what makes it so freaking good. That was all great and I love having that reaction. But what lifts this book up is Renee, her character...OMG, she is so strong, she knows what she wants, and she fights for what she wants, and she knows that they belong together. And they do belong together. I kept telling Callum that, but he didn't listen...they never bloody listen to me. Of course, things transpire in the book that will have you cursing and saying no, no, no Renee what are you doing? Then it'll be like, go girl, go! You've got this! Get your man. It's also because she's so strong and I think, to be honest, it's different variations of strong, what I see as strong someone else might not, they might see it as a weakness, that she was so connected to this man that her whole life was turned upside down and her whole life was...that she let him treat her that way and some might say, oh she's a doormat, but she's not. She, to me, she is not. She is strong, she is kick-arse, she knew what she wanted, and she understood why he did the things he did, and she was willing to take it, she didn't take it because she had to, she took it because for her, that was her punishment and that's the difference. That was my interpretation anyhow, and I can understand her mentality, when you think or know you've wronged someone, and you love that person with every ounce of your being, you take what they give. Whether or not you actually deserve that treatment. And she knew she didn't, deep down she knew he was wrong, that he shouldn't have been treating her that way, but she let him. Because she loves him and because she wanted that connection with him, no matter how tenuous it was. She's just, yeah, I'm a big fan of female characters I can get behind, that I can says, yes girl, yes, you've got me. And this character did that, hell, did she do that. It's funny because this is another testament to Ella because when I first saw Renee in SF & BA I thought this is another character I was going to dislike, but, I should have known better. Because Ella does not follow anyone's guidelines about what should happen, but her own. Ella writes what she wants, and she surprises you with her characters, because characters you think, you know what I'm going to hate this character, but you end up loving. Don't get me wrong, there are some characters that you take an instant dislike to, and they turn out to be dodgy, and you do hate them, but, she also surprises you, you're like, oh, here we go, like with Renee, I thought she was going to be your typical bitch, who's getting involved and wants her guy back and will do whatever it takes, but she's not, and through it actually, it breaks your heart. When you see she's all alone, she has nobody, without Callum she's alone. So you can understand why she fights as hard as she does to keep him. And for me, it was so beautiful seeing her friendship blossom with Pippa...and with Daisy to an extent, because they were genuine, they were not like the people she'd had in her life before. They were not the people that lashed out and hurt her for their own benefit and that'll make more sense when you read the book. Because I don't want to give anything away, but, things transpire in the book with these so-called friends and it just made me want to cry. That poor girl.

The chemistry between Renee and Callum is off the freaking charts, seriously, even when they are ‘hate-getting-down' (What? It's the best description I could come up with that would be Amazon appropriate) they still, it's hot as anything, but, so is the making love, it's such a contrast, but even when they were enemies that chemistry between them was there, it was palpable, and it was going to happen – you could feel it.

I'm literally running out of things that I can say about Ella and her writing she just...she's amazing, I will literally read anything she writes. I have one book of Ella's that I haven't read, and it's already queued up on my Kindle to read next. She just nails it every freaking time. And I'm so glad for the day that she was recommended to me, and this is what I love about this book community, a person can rave about a book and it can be someone you've never read before, maybe, never even heard of, you pick up that book and it's like diving down a rabbit hole, and you just become so fascinated with a person's writing and they become a gem to you. That's what Ella is, she's a gem. She's a gem in that she writes books that I can devour, that I will stay up till gone 2.30am in the morning, because she's an author that when the book lands on my Kindle at 4.30am I'll open it and start it, because it can't just sit there, I need all the words, you have jobs that need doing during the day? Pfft, they can wait, I have a book to read. I'm willing to lose sleep because I literally cannot pull myself away from it because the words are so fantastic she makes you fall in love with these characters so much, that you cannot bear to be apart from them. It's astounding, and to have talent that can do that – it amazes me. It's just so, yeah, anything, she can write anything and I'll read it...and she has, there are subjects that I stay away from, and that's no secret, you guys know that, but, with Ella, I'll read it...and I have, because the way she writes no matter what the subject, it's more than entertainment for entertainments sake, she's doing it for a reason, whether that's to highlight something that isn't brought up very often or whether it's to bring awareness, or just because at that time it's something relevant. She just knows what it is, and it never feels like she's doing it for the sake of it. I love that, and basically, I love her and I'm going to move into her house and stalk her for the rest of our days.

When Ella Fields told me this book was her tamest, that it wouldn't break my heart, I foolishly believe her. I'm a stupid stupid person. This book, just like all of the others, hit me right in the feels. This is a very raw and beautiful love story.

I love that these weren't your typical sweetness and light romance characters. They were real and they had grit. They made mistakes and they owned them.
On the outside Vera seems like an unlikeable character, but, once you get a tiny glimpse into her heart and her upbringing you can't help but fall in love with her. My heart broke on more than one occasion. I wanted to shake her, without a doubt, at times and just tell her to stop, but, I think that just made her HEA all the sweeter for how hard earned it was. Now, that's not me saying that Jared was just okay, man, Jared is swoonfest material- if you liked him in Frayed Silk, you will fall madly in love with him in this book. He was all the things - including an arsehole, and he was so mean with it, but, I knew why he was acting that way and he made up for it once he knew the truth. So we can forgive him.
Their chemistry is off the charts smoking hot. I loved their banter too, the pet names were perfect for them. Their HEA wasn't handed to them, it wasn't easy. They both made mistakes and learned from it. It was really beautiful to experience. Those library scenes gutted me - for two completely different reasons. Want to know more? You'll have to read the book.

Ella has once again taken me to places I never thought I'd go. I love her for it. She's an auto one click author for me.

Elizabeth Dyer writes books I like to read. They're well written, action-packed, and have a good dose of humour, sexy-times, and emotion. I like that they're longer than your average romance book – at least the ones I've been listening to lately. She doesn't skimp on the details – she builds the suspense and you can't help but become invested in the story and the characters. I legit laughed, cried, swooned, and cursed during this book. I loved characters. I hated characters. I had theories and I had excuses. I love when a book can cause those types of reactions and Elizabeth's writing is a joy to get lost in.

After listening to Defenseless and falling in love with the story and Elizabeth's writing I've been anxiously awaiting the release of Relentless and it did not disappoint. Although it is a continuation, as in, it has the same characters and team, and the underlining story arc threaded through it, it is also very much its own book. The premise is completely different. That being said, I wasn't sure how I was going to react, I just loved Parker and Georgia so much, their dynamic was wonderful, and sometimes, you know, you love book one so much that any others can seem like a let-down, that doesn't happen here. Ethan and Natalia are wonderful, but in a completely different way, and it worked so perfectly. Natalia is deadly, but she has heart. My heart broke for her on more than one occasion. She's been through hell, and all for her sister - the love and loyalty she has for her is astounding, so why wouldn't Ethan fall for her. Ethan, the big bad boss of Somerton Security is knocked off his feet by Natalia and it's so awesome to see. He's always been the strong one, shouldering all the responsibility and the blame, seeing him come to terms with the fact that he can't save everyone was really endearing. I really liked them together, they're both strong - in different ways and that shone through. Their HEA was hard fought and they deserved it, I loved how Elizabeth had it all come together, it was everything I hoped, and even some I hadn't even imagined.

I have to say that I loved that we got to see Parker and Georgia. I had the biggest smile on my face when Parker first turned up. I was like, ‘here's my guy!' Swoon. I just love him. Getting a glimpse into their continued HEA was fabulous and really gave this book that extra appeal and a dose of sweetness.

I like that each book is a stand-alone that has a story arc that connects them. I am so invested in this series, I cannot wait to see what happens next. Bring on Fearless in November! I am excited to listen to it and see where this story arc takes us.

Aiden Snow is so perfectly cast for this series. His voice just fits the flow and the speed. It's a pleasure to listen to. The way he uses inflection to alter the character he's performing is brilliant and he never over does it. It's always so spot on. He's able to convey the sweet, with the urgency of the suspense and really pull the reader into the story. I just loved it. The production was great with no issues at all.

I didn't quite know what to expect from this book, but my god, it was wonderful. I couldn't put it down. So many emotions I didn't know what to do with myself. I was so mad to begin with and then when the plot twist hit, Jesus, I was furious, I wanted to reach into my kindle and cause some bodily harm to a character, I sobbed - how did this happen? Why did it happen? It explained so much and made me feel guilty for my earlier ranting. I felt Ella handled a difficult subject sensitively and brought something that isn't discussed very often to the forefront and I love her for it.

Taylor and Renee were hilarious - I loved them so freaking much. Jared was such a sweetheart and I hope he gets his own HEA. Leo, oh my Sweet damaged man, I cursed him so much to begin with but once the true was out and we saw the real him, I fell madly in love with him. His love for Dahlia was so strong. Dahlia, she is one of my favourite heroines, she was in a difficult situation and made decisions because she didn't have all the facts, they may not have been the right decisions, but she owned them none the less. The way she handled herself once she knew the twist was how I hoped she'd be. Her love knew no bounds. The children were so sweet. I adored them. The relationship between Leo and Dahlia is complex and that came across very well, it was great seeing all different sides to it and this book worked perfectly from Dahlia's PoV. We really got to be in her head and honestly, I was a mess, I felt every heartache.

Ella Fields never fails to grip me by the feels and drag me around until I'm left utterly exhausted. But, also grateful, her words help to make my reading experience better. I'm hooked on her writing and a fan for life.

No One But You is a sweet, friends to lovers, single parent, second chance romance that will leave you swooning and begging for more.

Alexandra Silva came out swinging with this debut. She tackled a difficult subject matter with apparent ease and sensitivity. This book is sweet, sexy, angsty, and all the swoons. Melted puddle I tell you!

Quincy Cavendish is such a sweetheart, she has been through so much and the fact that she's still fighting and doing the best for herself and her daughter is a beautiful thing. What's also beautiful is seeing her open up to a relationship with Jamie and seeing that grow. Jamie Anson is swoon I can't even, he is so swoony I've lost all my words. He did annoy me for a little while there, but, he redeemed himself in record time, and his swooniness made up for it. Plus, OMG, I have to tell you about the love this man has for his daughter sigh it just melted my heart, but also, his love for Quincy and her daughter shone through. Just perfection.

The relationship Quincy and Jamie have is wonderful. They've been friends their entire lives and although decisions were made that kept them apart, they're finally at the right place and right time to explore a relationship that is more than just friendship and it's beautiful and sweet and sexy. Watching them find that balance between friends and lovers was lovely and frustrating, but their love for each other was never in doubt and it made for a wonderful reading experience.
